My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Greetings traveller! My name is David and I'm a geeky guy from planet Earth. I am joined in exploring this world by my lovely wife SketchyLisa, but we encourage each other to find love and/or happiness outside of the duopoly we have formed. We've been non-monogamous for our entire relationship and promise that we're not looking to replace each other, we just enjoy the variety that other functional human beings provide!

At heart I'm a social geek, my biggest passion is gaming! I really enjoy teaching people how to play my favorite board games, such as The Red Dragon Inn, Cards Against Humanity, Fluxx, We Didn't Playtest This At All, or Exploding Kittens. I've also got an extensive PC game library that helps to keep my World of Warcraft addiction in check (I've been clean since 2010 but every day is a struggle!).

I’m a really logical person, I like facts and data. I have no patience for drama, if you’ve got a problem I’d rather talk about it directly. I like living openly and honestly, and I expect the same level of honesty from you. I should start with saying I'm looking for a FWB or a girlfriend, I don't really mind which one it is but that's what I'm here to find!

I’ve lived in Georgia my entire adult life. I’d love to move to the west coast someday, but for now my home is here in the suburbs.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work as a computer-fixing-guy at Obscure Healthcare Corporation, Inc. I've been obsessed with computers since I was 5 years old, and repairing them is easy, the hard part is convincing users to stop breaking them!

I spent the past couple years improving my health and losing 90+ pounds! Now that the weight is gone I've been running to help keep it off. I ran my first 5K in October 2014 and completed my first marathon a year later! I've got the Thanksgiving Day Half Marathon and the Locomotive Half Marathon left before I can close out 2015, next year I'll be running the Georgia Marathon and the Black Mountain Monster Ultramarathon. I also enjoy trail running, hiking, and yoga... basically anything to get me away from a treadmill!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Interpreting cats. I mean, maybe that just applies to my cats, but I’ve got a pretty good idea of what they want when they want it. And what they want is wet food, right now.

More generally, I’m really good at solving problems. I like tackling difficult puzzles and figuring out how they operate, and helping things to be more efficient if I can. That’s kind of the backdrop for my entire life, if you hadn't already noticed!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I’m pretty tall, so I’d think the first thing people would notice is my t-shirts, since those tend to be at eye-level for those around me. And I try to pick out obscure, clever ones whenever possible.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I'm currently working on the Culture series by Iain M. Banks. Other recent books I've read include Lock In and the Old Man's War series by John Scalzi, Ready Player One by Ernest Cline, Daemon, Freedom TM, and Influx by Daniel Suarez, and Seveneves by Neal Stephenson. I've been slowly catching up on the sci-fi classics by Philip K. Dick, Arthur C. Clarke, Isaac Asimov, and Robert Heinlein. Farther back in the past I've enjoyed Snow Crash and Anathem by Neal Stephenson, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy by Douglas Adams, The Ender's Game series by Orson Scott Card, and The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins.

Movies: Idiocracy, Her, Interstellar, The Lego Movie, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Avengers series has been great (though I still refuse to see any Hulk movie), Avatar, Serenity, Inception, Looper, Sleepwalk With Me, Big Hero 6, The Imitation Game

Shows-TV: Bojack Horseman, Bob’s Burgers, Archer, The League (Which is so funny that it transcends my disinterest of football), Louie, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Silicon Valley, Rick and Morty, Parks and Recreation, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Party Down, South Park, Community, The Venture Bros, Battlestar Galactica, Fringe, and anything in the Stargate franchise.

Shows-Podcasts: Serial, Startup, This American Life, Group Therapy with Above & Beyond (ABGT), Intelligence Squared US, Savage Lovecast (Magnum), Radiolab, Freakonomics Radio, Planet Money, Reasonable Doubts, Escape Pod, The Vergecast, Ctrl Walt Delete, Judge John Hodgman

Music: deadmau5, Daft Punk, Anamanaguchi, The Postal Service, Justice, Mord Fustang, Bag Raiders, Two Door Cinema Club, Chromeo, The Whitest Boy Alive, Sasha, Royksopp, Above & Beyond, The Glitch Mob, LCD Soundsystem, Grand National, Wolfgang Gartner, Empire of the Sun, Cubicolor, Lane 8, Eric Prydz

Food: So yeah, I’m known as a picky eater. I only like basic things: Cheese pizza, chicken tenders, hot wings, burgers, steak… things like that. More complicated things tend to gross me out. It’s totally fine if you want to eat it, but I don’t want to try a bite. I’m good.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. The Internet, because without it we wouldn’t be having this conversation. I mean, I guess it’s more of a monologue as it stands, but you could change that at any moment!
2. My House, otherwise where would I live? It’s nice having a place of my own where I can relax and be myself. Plus I can keep all my stuff there!
3. A1. If Kraft ever discontinues my favorite sauce I’ll be picketing their headquarters.
4. Electronic Dance Music, it transforms the gym into a nightclub, and myself into that weird guy that’s dancing on the elliptical.
5. Allergy Medication, for without it I am a wheezy, sneezy mess. Thanks a lot, pollen!
6. Comedy. Whether it’s making my friends giggle or enjoying a stand-up special, nothing is more fun than laughing at stupid shit that you’ll never think of in quite the same way again.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life, the universe, and everything.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Rolling for initiative! No, wait, that’s Monday night. Which one is Friday again?

I’m typically playing video games on Friday nights, lately I've been enjoying Mario Kart 8, catching up with the many Zelda games, FTL, The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth, Steam World Dig, and Civilization V!

TL;DR: Reddit.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
If grape sugar-free Kool-Aid causes cancer, I'll be the first one to know about it.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're open to my openness and are picking up what I'm putting down. Bonus points if you share my love of all things geeky, enjoy taking long walks (or runs) in the wilderness, and don't mind if I bust out a board game during a date ;)

If you'd like to continue on as strangers then I thank you for getting this far through my profile, and I wish you good luck in your search!
