I have many geeky interests (documentaries, retro animation, sci-fi, fantasy, comics etc...) but I've also spent years training in martial arts, horsemanship, some fencing, some ice hockey and other non-geeky things. I virtually never go a single day without playing some sort of game. Board game, RPG, card game, video game... or whatever... I love games with a passion. I've invented many and have even published one and hope to publish many more.
I tend to have very eclectic friends. I tend to be rarely offended by anyone unless they are being offensive on purpose or if they lie to me. I never use foul language, but I don't mind if my friends do. I never drink alcohol, but I don't mind if my friends do. I try to be sensitive to the desires and needs of others while still being my own man and never bowing to peer pressure.
My friends all know that they can be truthful with me without fearing my reaction.
I'm told that I'm very even tempered. My emotions are as intense as anybody's, but I'm usually quite excellent at acting on my thoughts rather than my feelings. I tend to have a calm demeanor, however I do love to laugh. I take great pleasure in using my sense of humour to make others laugh. I'm told that I'm great in a crisis. People constantly ask me for advice. This is something to which I take as both a great compliment and a tremendous responsibility.
I try to see thing's as they are while recognizing and striving for how great they could be and realizing and preparing for how bad they can be.
If you have absolutely zero interest in games, (I play lots of different kinds: board games, video games, card games, and tabletop role-playing games) I really should say that there's probably not much point in us getting together. I have a passion for games. Its important to me. My friends and I tend to get together at least one evening per week plus Sundays. My Sunday gaming group has been meeting virtually every Sunday at 2pm (usually playing non-stop until around midnight) since 1984. I certainly wouldn't insist that you participate in such nerdy activities, but in a perfect world it would be a real bonus to have a girlfriend or wife that shares in or at least respects my interests rather than merely tolerating them. I mean... if you yourself have a passion for cross country underwater basket weaving, and you do it every Thursday at 3am, more power to you, and I might even give it a try myself. :)
Oh... by the way... if you smoke, I have allergies to such things.
Oh, and by the way. Please don't be intimidated by my height if you are short. I've no problem whatsoever with a woman being tall, but I consider a woman being short to be a bonus. Ask me why sometime. It has to do with an Asian circus. LOL Perhaps that I should also mention that if you are a tall, gorgeous, slim, large-breasted woman with lots of money, I'd love to hear from you. However, I'd be even more excited to hear from a short, simple, nice woman without a penny that still lives with her parents that knows what a d20 is.
My Christian faith is the core of my being. Also, I'm active in a non-denominational protestant church. I am a very deeply spiritual person and am ideally looking for someone with whom I might potentially share at least some spiritual common ground. However, that being said, I also feel that everyone is on their own spiritual road and I don't believe in judging others or interfering with their own spirituality.
I'm looking for a woman with whom I can develop a powerful spiritual bond, direct emotional connection, intense physical attraction, and shared common interests.
I suppose we'd likely come to a mutual agreement on that during an online chat. (I have Skype. It's free and works great.) Oh, and by the way, I've found that the chat option on POF doesn't always work. If you try to chat with me on here and I don't reply, it's likely that the option to answer you never materialized on my computer.
By the way, I don't exactly frequent this website on a regular basis. So if you are curious, please feel free to go ahead and send me a message, (even if it's only a simple hello) especially if I have already found you and placed you on my favorites list. Oh, and if you try to use the chat feature on this site and I don't respond, it's because my browser doesn't always recognize that somebody is trying to call me on it.
