This seems a bit ridiculous after all these years, but I would still like to find a truly interesting man who can walk and talk and think and share honestly. We all need a companion who makes us feel safe and liked and still alive, I now know that age has nothing to do with this. That need doesn't just dry up and go away because the 70 milestone is behind us. I am still the same woman I was at 40 but wiser and funnier and far more interesting. The body is not perfect but far from ugly, the face still smiles, the laugh is ready. Yes...I work as House Director for 180 sorority girls at Carolina but I have tons of spare time and I want to fill it with great conversation and wonderful hugs from a man who is not afraid of my advanced age or my advanced wit or my charming personality.

I am House Director for a great sorority in Chapel Hill but I spent much of my life writing and broadcasting and selling. I have written hundreds of columns and commentaries and broadcast the commentaries and so many commercials. I was Advertising Director for a magazine in DC for six years. I have created and communicated and negotiated, led groups and taught and learned. I am still me and I still do and go and teach and learn.

I am really good at making people comfortable, at talking and listening, at laughing at myself and my stupid foibles. I have been told many times that I make others feel good about themselves but I am not out to change anybody. Bring me your best and I will give you mine. I an also good at dancing, decorating, living.

My smile is the first thing people notice about me and I smile a lot. Then they notice that I am still attractive in spite of my years, relatively slender and erect.

I read or listen to dozens of books and seldom even notice the titles. Yes, I read all three "Shades of Gray." I thought McCullough's "John Adams" was memorable,, read all of Elizabeth Berg's books and Anita Shreve and Anne Tyler and so many others. Loved "It's Complicated" and all of Meryl Streep's movies. I see so many - love movies. Live theatre is the best of all and music, especially the Blues, great dance music, some country and lots of folk have different powers. Who doesn't love great food and wine -preferably shrimp, pasta, wonderful soups and salads and exquisite Creme Caramel, cookies,any pie....and yogurt.

My daughters, my grandchildren, laughter, hot water, soap and friends.

Health, friends, family.

Having early dinner with a friend or friends, watching TV, going to bed.

I am really 79, not 76, but most men can't handle 76 and 79 would send them running to the hills. The way I figure it....I don't look or act 70 so I really should put my age at 60.
