I consider myself a pretty laid back guy. I enjoy intelligent conversations and being challenged mentally (that's right, "challenged mentally," not "mentally challenged"). Remaining open-minded is something I constantly strive for, but I do have strong opinions on a few specific issues.
My religious and political views are very important to me. I am not willing to be with someone who is devoutly religious or who tries converting others to religion, but I can probably be with someone who is mildly religious or apathetic. Similarly, while I tend not to follow political events very often (something I may try to change), I do have strong feelings about many big political issues -- I lean left on almost all of them. Again, I try to keep an open mind. I should emphasize that while these topics are important to me, I don't normally go out of my way to argue with people or be an overt elitist jerk about them. I am ALWAYS willing to talk about something in an objective manner while trying to avoid bias where possible.
Tennis and hacky sack are two of the very few outdoor activities that I will happily participate in without needing to be persuaded. I'm certainly not opposed to other things, but admittedly I prefer spending most of my time inside, so others usually have to prompt me or talk me into doing outdoor stuff.
I was born in North Carolina, but spent most of my youth in Green Bay, Wisconsin before moving to Nashville.
