Hi, I'm Elise. I was born and raised in Chicago, graduated college in Boston and now am back in the city working on my masters in Public Health. I'm currently living in Wicker Park with some roommates and my dog, a PAWS rescue. I am the oldest of six kids and family is a big part of my life. The busy and crazy household that I grew up in has definitely shaped who I am - down to earth, laid back, ambitious and adventurous (I think).

Besides school, I keep busy running a comical dog boarding businesss, chasing babies around Bucktown, and enjoying the company of my family and friends in Chicago. I'm going to have to start training for the Chicago marathon - registered to run this fall.

Love going to see a good movie in theaters. The Departed, City of God, Bridesmaids, and the Interrupters (Documentary) are some definite favorites.

Mumford and sons, Violent Femmes, Talking Heads, Otis, Fleetwood, The Lumineers, Black Keys, Metric, Foster the People, Monsters and Men, Macklemore, Coldplay, Vampire Weekend

Sushi, the entire menu at Native Foods and Big Star and now just recently on a mission to find excellent Thai and Vietnamese food in Chicago if you have any suggestions!

My dog Nala - she's a sweet yellow lab; passport; friends and family; weekends; coffee; trips to Costco

Potentially heading abroad to teach after I get my Master's. Was fortunate enough to take two big trips - one to Latin America and one to SE Asia - in the past three months. It has really inspired me - the wheels are turning :)

You would want to check out a comedy show, pick a new spot for dinner or drinks, or just interested in grabbing a cup of coffee and talking a walk. I'm always down for a trip to the dog park :)
