My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I spent the past 3-ish years in Brooklyn, NY and have moved back to my hometown of B-more. So...You're welcome Baltimore! (To be straight- I have now been back in B-more for a year but time flies and NYC feels like it was just a minute ago).

It's hard to describe yourself like this without sounding vain or self-involved, but I assure you I am neither vain nor self-involved. That said, I am a pretty awesome and likable person, though I might be an acquired taste for some people- if you can't take a joke and appreciate the beauty and importance of sarcasm then you won't get me and I won't get you. It's been my experience that most things in life don't need to be taken too seriously.

What I do take seriously are my relationships with friends, family, and myself. I'm an excellent friend and listener and I want people in my life who can appreciate that and also reciprocate. I don't do drama- if you have to work too hard to like a person, it's probably not worth it.

If we can get past the drama, then you can pretty much count on me doing anything I can to make you happy. I am a people-pleaser and find a lot of fulfillment in making people feel good about themselves. I think people are most drawn to me because of that.

I should also mention that I am pretty crude so if you are looking for a woman who talks like a "lady" you're on the wrong fucking page.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I received my BA in Urban Sociology at George Washington but so far I haven't worked in my field. In Brooklyn I managed a chiropractic office and unexpectedly fell in love. I loved helping people and making them happy and I'm damn good at it to boot. While I don't want to work in the service industry and have higher aspirations than having a "desk job" (not that there is anything wrong with that, it's just not for me), I am a people person and my once-dream of doing sociological research and writing might take a back-seat to a job that allows me to interact with people on a more personal level. My ideal job is both social and intellectual. Suggestions?

I'm currently employed at a healthcare advocacy company that caters to the extremely wealthy. I'm bored out of my skull at my "desk job" and can't wait to find a new job. And it hasn't even been three months...should have studied accounting or IT.

I tried out being a hippie this summer but the pay wasn't very good.
Anyone want to move me out to Rado or Cali? I'm game if you are. I'm not talking about a free ride, but I'd love a reason to leave this place and manifest west.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I get asked where I am from a lot. Apparently I look Hispanic, but I'm not (I'm all Jew). I get talked to in Spanish a lot.

I've also been told that my bubbly personality and genuine smile shine through.

...and I have killer legs.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: To Kill A Mockingbird, The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, 1Q84, Wild Sheep Chase (basically all things Haruki Murakami), Bangkok 8, Bangkok Tattoo, Bangkok Haunts, The Birth of Venus, The Bell Jar, A Clockwork Orange ... As for the rest, I'm not going to list a bunch of books and authors that "smart people" are supposed to like. You'll just have to trust me- I'm smart as fuck.

Movies: Goodfellas, Blow, Pulp Fiction, Scarface, American Psycho, The Usual Suspects, Mystic River, Life is Beautiful, Rockstar, Vanilla Sky, Walk The Line, After Hours (80's Scorsese dark comedy- check it out), Resident Evil, Dawn of the Dead, Contact, Donnie Darko, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe, Anchorman, Grandma's Boy, Best in Show, Zoolander, I <3 Huckabees, Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands, the Tim Burton Batmans.

T.V. Breaking Bad, Dexter (although last season was pretty weak), Shameless, House of Lies, Justified, The Wire, Arrested Development, Metalocolypse, and anything on Discovery Channel or NatGeo. And if it's football season, I'm watching THE RAVENS. CAW! CAW! CAW!

Music: I've gone through my phases but I'll never get over classic rock- Zeppelin, Floyd, Cream, Queen, Beatles, The Who (seen 'em), Rolling Stones (seen 'em), CSNY (seen 'em)

City living requires music you can walk (or stomp) to- I love me some Lil Wayne (SEEN HIM 3X!!!), Biggie, Slick Rick, Jurassic 5, Nas, Kanye, Damian Marley, Pretty Lights, Daft Punk, Gorillaz, Radiohead, Animal Collective, Thievery Corporation

I'm Currently Feeling: *GRATEFUL DEAD* *PHISH* *FURTHUR* *STRING CHEESE INCIDENT* *GRATEFUL DEAD* *PHISH* *GRATEFUL DEAD* *PHISH* And then I like to throw in some *GRATEFUL DEAD* every now and then, just to keep things interesting.

also, Grateful Dead, Phish, Sublime, Blind Melon, The Motet (specifically: Funk is Dead tour), The Roots, MGMT, Passion Pit...

Food: CARBS! Pasta, chinese, sushi, bagels. And red meat. And white meat. I'm not picky. Oh, and anything that you can put ketchup on. Mmmm.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In no particular order, except for the first one. The first is definitely first...

-A kickass sense of humor (both mine and yours)

-*Self love and acceptance*

-The company of others

-My education and continually furthering it (b/c I'm so fucking smart)

-GPS- I'd literally be lost without it
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What I am doing with my life and what I want to do with my life, where I have been and where I am going, the best way to live a successful, happy, and healthy life, and how other people fit into all of that. I often lose my sense of self in trying to make others happy, which is something I truly like to do. I'm working on figuring out how to draw the line between what I do to make others happy and what I do to make myself happy.

I spend a lot of time lately picturing what my life looks like when I am happy, healthy, and successful because *my mind is compelled to create the realities of my beliefs*
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Making moves.

I try to get to at least one live show a weekend and so far I have been fairly successful. If I'm lucky (or should I say if YOU are lucky), you'll find me at some venue raging face to an awesome jam band of sorts.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

Even though personality trumps all, I'm secretly a sucker for a pretty face.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You have a kick ass sense of humor (dry sarcasm is a must).

You are impressed by a well-rounded personality, are open-minded, can contribute to an enjoyable conversation, and can be honest about your intentions.

You can take care of yourself and have something that you are responsible for (a job, school, car, bills, small animals, but no babies or children please...).

You only judge while people-watching, when it is entirely acceptable to make ungrounded and obscene generalizations about complete strangers based solely on their superficial assets.

You don't superfluously use "LOL". You are making a joke...I get it. Usually it isn't even funny so stop laughing you fucking idiot.

*Try something more than a "Wink" or "Favorites" because if you aren't going to bother, why should I?*
