My self-summary
I have a constant desire to travel. Instead of evaluating paychecks in terms of what obnoxiously expensive shoes I can buy, I think of them in terms of plane tickets and adventures. In the past, I have called Sierra Leone, Cambodia, London, New York, and Rhode Island (college) my home. I've also jet setted to Brazil, Egypt, Morocco, Costa Rica, and throughout Southeast Asia and Europe. I've done lots of cool stuff ranging from gorilla trekking to dancing the night away at the Heart of Darkness (Phnom Penh's most notorious night club) to rock climbing in Halong Bay to white water rafting down the Nile. I also had a brief stint as a journalist/travel writer. More about me: I'm a big fan of dancing/dance parties, live music, karaoke, pub quiz (trivia), sailing, theater, and baseball. I am a major foodie and love cooking, hosting dinner parties, and trying new restaurants. I make killer Italian, American, and French food, and also dabble in some yummy Indian, Middle Eastern, and Southern cuisine. I can also drink my tequila shots with the best of them.
What I’m doing with my life
I work for an international development organization and moved to DC just over a year ago.

Just got back from a pretty fantastic road trip through the South with stops in Memphis, Nashville, New Orleans, Raleigh, and Atlanta. Next up: Costa Rica in March!
I’m really good at
- Cooking
- Writing
- Starting impromptu dance parties
- Staying up past my bedtime
- Karaoke (best place to go in DC?)
- Bargaining at local markets

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Who stole my birthday cake in 2010. Seriously. Who steals a birthday cake??
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends: dinner, drinks, and hopefully some dancing.

Don't message me if: you have a selfie of your torso in front of a mirror. Your message will consist of "Hi, how are you?" Give me some substance, please!
