It's weird how people feel entitled to your information. So many of the people I've met here demand to know what part of town you're living in, try to pressure you into chatting on the phone or meeting before you're comfortable. I realize this is a dating site, but most of these people grew up in the internet age, didn't they? Isn't one of the cardinal rules of online safety keeping your personal information private?
Oh well, when they push me I feel no compunction about lying, so I've given out plenty of false locations. And when they keep pressing about meeting or exchanging phone numbers when I've already expressed my discomfort, I mentally cross them off the list of people I'll ever want to meet. It just seems like such a sign of disrespect, or at least insensitivity, when I say "no" and they think if they can figure out the right way to ask, they can change my answer to "yes". Not to mention how insulting that is to my intelligence.
Luckily, I've met plenty of perfectly nice, courteous guys on here. And maybe those pushy guys will read this and take the hint...
