My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi there,

Welcome to my profile! I don't want to spoil too much of the mystery yet, so I'll do my self-summary a la "two truths and a lie" :-)

Two of the following five factoids are utter lies; feel free to message me with your guesses:

1. I was the starting varsity quarterback for my high school's exceedingly mediocre football team.

2. During my birth, the hospital caught on fire, and had to be evacuated.

3. I have a scar on my wrist from when a lion cub "mauled" (scratched) me.

4. My uncle is a Hollywood lawyer, who has produced several blockbuster movies.

5. I'm lifetime-undefeated at the game Taboo.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I graduated from the University of Michigan (go Blue!) in 2012, and am now two years deep into a PhD program at the University of Chicago.

When I'm not doing research, I devote a lot of my time and energy to working out and playing music.

I take myself and my ambitions seriously, but that's not to say I don't know how to kick back, be a little goofy, and have a good time!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Seeing the good in bad situations

Playing the trumpet

Making people laugh (either at me, or with me)

Mathematical/Logical/Abstract thinking
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm wearing snazzy sneakers.

As for food, I'll eat anything healthy. My favorite cuisines are Japanese and Mexican. Oh, and SWEET P[R]OTATOES!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Good friends, fun, exercise/sports, music, curiosity, an interesting question to ponder.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Music, fitness, agency conflicts, mathematics/statistics, why people act the way they do, morality/ethics.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably out with friends having a drink or two.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I can sing an embarrassing quantity of Disney songs from memory.
You should message me if

Also, if I messaged you, I like to hear back!
