I just moved to San Antonio from Petersburg, Virginia in January of 2013. I moved here for a few reasons, but mainly because I just couldn't get any opportunities in Virginia and I needed a change of scenery. I refused to sit on my ass like many of my friends, and think the world would just eventually hand me something. Life doesn't work that way, and neither do I. So I up and moved out here to live with some friends. I was with them for a few months, got a job, saved up, got my apartment and soon after that got offered a spot doing what I think is now my dream job: Animal Care. I work for Animal Care Services for the city and quite enjoy it. Eventually I want to work in Cruelty Investigations, but am pondering apply for a supervisor position, and/or looking into jobs working for the USDA.
Some general stuff about me.. I am a college graduate of Pennsylvania State University with my Bachelor's in Criminal Justice, and have an Associate's Degree of Science from Richard Bland College in Virginia.
I enjoy basketball (Go Spurs, and Go VCU Rams!), and Football (Go Cowboys!), and Hockey (No team). To answer what I'm sure is on your mind, yes I was a Cowboys fan in Virginia, no, I was not a Spurs fan in VA. I didn't have an NBA Team until I moved out here, but I thought might as well pick the home team, since there's so much Spurs spirit out here. :-)
I play video games a lot and can be found bouncing back and forth between World of Warcraft and League of Legends. I generally play Guitar Hero games or RPG's like FF and Dragon Age series on console and am not a fan of FPS, or War Game Type games like Battlefront or Gears of War, or Halo. I'm still trying to finish Final Fantasy 7. I recently bought a 3DS and been playing Pokemon Y.
I guess the most important part of this is to state that I'm not looking to date right now. I am really just looking for some good friends to make contacts with in San Antonio since I'm new. :-)
