I'm an optimist in a realists body. I'm constantly searching for
solutions to everything, so I may ramble about global social
issues. I'm a roamer- I let the winds carry me but plant my feet
firmly when I reach my destination. Definitely social- an extrovert
in the best sense of the word- and love getting to know people and
spending time with them. The best things I've ever learned have
been from the people around me, so I am always looking for new
perspectives on life (even if I don't agree with them). I like to
dance, climb mountains, ride bikes, lay in hammocks, and explore.
Really though, as long as music is a part of my day to day life,
What I’m doing with my life
I've spent the past 5 years wandering between Central America, the
States, and Europe. Currently finishing my Masters, and just moved
back to Boston.
I’m really good at
Hula hooping, face painting, and tackling new
things/situations/ideas/etc. I'm pretty good at talking my way into
(and out of) most any situation. I'm also a pretty damn good cook,
if I don't say so myself. There's a whole lot of other things that
I'm okay at, and am always trying to learn new ways to do them
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes, which change from green to yellow on a
when-ever-they-feel-like-it basis, or my sarcasm. It comes out at
the best (and worst..and all) times.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I Don't own a tv and haven't since college, but will definitely get
down on some law and order, futurama, louie, and modern family (if
its free online..). I love watching movies, and am pretty up for
anything, especially if it is at all involving zombies, wes
anderson, or well..most anything else. Also love some sci-fi/good
Music is a massive force in my life. I listen to it constantly, and
am always looking for a show or new stuff from faraway (or close
by) places. My taste is kind of weird, and ranges from jazz to funk
to hip hop to indie. Hip hop/funk/blues/soul/jazz are definitely
some of my favorites though :)
And food? Anything, everything, all the time. I like my meat rare
and complimented with wine.
The six things I could never do without
1. My Hula hoop
2. Music, both new and old
4. Contemplative conversations
5. My bike!
6. A comfy bed
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Social issues in the world and the ways people affect them. I'm
constantly searching to link up with organizations and people who
are trying to support positive change in the world.
I'm a nomad at heart, and travel and adventuring is always on my
mind. My browser history generally holds a good number of flight
searches to far off places that are completely out of my budget
range, while my calendar for the next few months has at least a few
weekend adventures to more feasible locations.
Most of the time though, I'm just thinking about something awesome
to eat for dinner.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging with friends, at a bar, or beginning a weekend jaunt to
some place awesome- All of which usually involve alcohol, music,
glitter, or some combination of the three.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
...will probably come out after a bourbon.
