My self-summary
If you're the type that sometimes like to peruse books with pictures, feel free to check out my ig: http://instagram.com/theworldisbiggerthanyou

Thought I wouldn't be back on this thing... but here I am again. ;) This time with a other chipped heart. So no relationships for me right now. Just dating and fun. I'm really only on this because I work so much and don't have much time to meet new people.

I view life within the context of Buddhist philosophy and Yogic Philosophy. I think the core is ahimsa or not-harming. In order to help others, we must nurture our own physical, energetic, and spiritual being.

I practice meditation and yoga, but I am always mindful that I take this off the cushion or the mat. What good is all that practice if we can't use it in the real world?

I want to meet someone that is at least open to these ideas... they are very important to me and while it's not essential to structure your life around them, it has noticeably changed my life... and my friends and family can attest to this.
What I’m doing with my life
Slinging curry in a Thai restaurant and doing Thai massage
I’m really good at
Making a situation awkward and laughing my way out of it.

Listening to what others really need to say out loud.

Allowing my emotions to guide me in the right direction.
The first things people usually notice about me
A couple of things... which I always feel weird saying, but

1. my smile (it doesn't take much to get it out of me)

2. my calm demeanor (it's a practice)... Especially recently.... People have actually come up to me and introduced themselves because they say I seem so calm. Kind of bizarre.... But not really.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Food: Meat-free yums.

Books: The Dhammapada, anything about Eastern religion, yoga, the mind, communication, self-improvement, etc.

Shows: I don't have a television, but I'll keep up with shows on the internet like The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, The Office, Portlandia. Yup, even Buddhists can watch zombies getting their heads blown off.

Movies: I love documentaries, action/adventure, foreign, and films of the eccentric variety, but the type of story that will usually squeeze some tears out of me is a good underdog story.

Music: This is an overused phrase, but generally, I CAN listen to pretty much anything. Lately, I've been listening to more audiobooks so I leave the music pickin' up to others. I have a past filled with punk/ska/metal/hardcore, but these days I like soft singer songwriter stuff AND I really really enjoy hip hop. My NEW NEW NEW favorite is a talented young lady who goes by Sa-Roc. Look her up.
The six things I could never do without
1. My lungs that allow me to breathe.
2. My legs that take me where I need to go.
3. My eyes that see all the good there is around me.
4. My intuition.
5. A good bike.
6. A friend.

I'll just add this seventh one if it's okay. 7. YOGA
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Ways in which to embrace life and coming to terms with the impermanent nature of things.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
It's not exactly private, but I don't drink because I'm allergic to alcohol. Doesn't mean you can't though. I kind of like being the designated driver along as someone let's me drive their very nice car to and fro.

I smoked for 12 years. When I quit, I was up to 2 packs daily.

Also, with the encouragement of a girlfriend, I modeled nude at an art school just to see if I could.then ended up doing it for two years. It was certainly an interesting job and taught a lot about patience... and stillness.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 27–36
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends
You should message me if
If you wanna take a yoga class together, go for a bike ride, lounge in the park and read books in the sun, or hang out in the wee hours of the night playing thumb-o-war.

Also, I'm not really into the idea of paying for this site so I can't see who you are if you rate me highly... there seem to be a lot of you doing that, but only a couple send me messages. So that's that.
