I am interesting, comical, and ambitious.

My Self-Summary

Hello! My name is Ryan. I just turned 22 years old and am currently attending the University of Arizona as a Finance student. I am from a town called Fountain Hills, AZ (next to Scottsdale). Three years ago I ended an extremely unhealthy relationship I was involved in and haven’t dated since. I am a very outgoing individual who isn’t looking for anything in particular. Signing up for okcupid is pretty unlike me, but I thought I would do it anyway. I am going into this without any expectations because I am a loose believer in that “everything happens for a reason”. Continue to read further to learn a little about me a portion of my many interests. :^)

What I’m doing with my life

I currently attend the University of Arizona and am a Finance student at Eller. Once graduated I would like to continue my education and receive my Master’s in Finance degree. Ultimately, my dream job would be to work for Microsoft or a reputable money management firm. I am currently trying to get an internship with Microsoft this next summer. When I’m not involved with my classes you will usually find me on campus anyway. I work for OSCR (Office of Student Computing Resources) as a student supervisor and absolutely love my job. For fun I really enjoy hanging out with friends, messing around with one of my many hobbies, or just relaxing.

I’m really good at

A lot of things. I have a passion for learning and experiencing new things. I am very interested in stuff I have not yet experienced and I absolutely love working on things. I picked these traits up from my parents and praise both of them for everything they have each taught me. From fixing up houses, repairing my car, building/repairing computers…to wood working, photography, playing the guitar, and cycling.

If I had to pick one thing that I am the best at I would say computers, but not in a geeky way. I don’t write code or play computer games. I am more into fixing problems and playing around with cool programs like Photoshop. I actually have a small list of elderly people that hire me once every couple weeks to help them with their aging computers (and minds, lol). I frequently rebuild their system so it performs like it was new or setup a brand new computer and teach them how to use it. I find this side job of mine very rewarding…plus it pays extremely well.

I also really enjoy talking with people. I am genuinely interested in what people have to say. I wonder why people are the way they are. What makes you tick?

The first things people usually notice about me

Haha, that I ride my bike WAY too fast on campus.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I just recently starting reading more, currently I am almost done with “The Road Ahead” (Bill Gates). Before that I read “Way of the Turtle” (Curtis Faith) and “Into Thin Air” (Jon Krakauer). Also, like almost everybody else I do enjoy the good old Harry Potter books. I’ll probably read them again someday. As far as movies I like Comedies, Action/Adventure, Thrillers and Documentaries. I can watch Horror movies but do not find them very enjoyable. Music, a few of my favorite genres are...Rap, Rock, Reggae. My top artists are Tech N9ne, 3 Doors Down, Bob Marley, Sublime, Saliva, Papa Roach, UB-40, DMX, and Skatterman & Snug Brim. I love a variety of foods. I would say my favorite thing to eat at my apartment is a DiGiorno pizza. My favorite restaurant is Oregano’s.

The six things I could never do without

1. My family and friends
2. My computer
3. My vehicles (car and bike)
4. Torrents
5. Podcasts (Adam Carolla Podcast, old Loveline Shows)
6. DiGiorno Pizza

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The future…and how I am going to get from where I am now to where I want to be.

On a typical Friday night I am

Hanging out with my friends and relaxing. Typically, I am very flexible with my night and play it by ear. Sometimes I like going out to the bars or just kick back someplace quite. Either way I usually try to socialize and hang out with friends.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I felt old for the first time in my life about a month ago. I was walking into Circle K when a couple teenagers stopped me to ask if I would buy them beer (I said “No!”). Haha
