My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm studying for my PhD in neuroscience at Georgia State. I'm from Georgia, but I just moved to Atlanta last summer, so I'm new to the city. I work hard, but I've fallen in love with this place, so I also play hard and take advantage of the night life. I'm a passionate artist as well as a scientist, and I love outdoor activities like hiking and snowboarding.

I want to advance the field of neuroscience, especially towards finding cures to obesity and neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer's.
I’m really good at

Visual art, solving puzzles, things that require hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity, like video games and surgery (I do surgeries as part of my PhD research), and writing.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a tattoo on my back of the oldest word for the human brain -- it's in heratic Egyptian, from the Edwin Smith medical papyrus. Kinda nerdy, but to me it symbolizes an awakening of mankind, a realization that the brain is the seat of awareness. There is something special about that understanding.
