My self-summary
Welcome to the descriptor, like many of you, I hate filling these things in, but it's all kinda worthless without it so here it goes.

I grew up in a larger town in NoDak, a state of small towns. It was nice to live in a place that was safe enough to let us kids run with a pretty free reign. My family is loving, accepting and willing to go out of their way to help and always looking for the fun things in life. I have two great younger sisters that are superstars in their own right, very proud of them both. One just had a baby so I am an uncle now, new title to add to my list.

I've been told I'm intelligent, though I can do stupid things, so instead I'm striving to be wise, something that I don't know if you can ever fully say you've achieved. I try to be a good listener and give good, insightful feed back to people, hopefully without putting my foot in my mouth. I know how beautiful a prairie summer storm can be, building up for hours till the black is broken by a flash of lightning. The little details can be important.

I obtained a vocational degree in electronics in high school, even took 7th in nationals through a strange set of events, but haven't used it much since then except the occasion broken TV or stereo. I've had all sorts of jobs, from baking artisan bread to master control operator at a TV station, my favorite so far was being a tree trimmer.

I am in a wonderful poly/open relationship with my partner in crime Hipstermaam. I am open to meeting new people, but sometimes the thing that I lack is time. It being one of the key ingredients for making a good solid relationship work I might not have a lot to offer, but again, I'd be happy to meet and see where things go.

I have a little cat named Beaker. She's still a little too rambunctious at times, but love her despite her bitchiness. She even fetches a ball much better then the last three dogs I've had in my life; she carries it with her everywhere.

I am Inquisitive, Waggish, and Earnest
What I’m doing with my life
I am in my third year of schooling for my 2-year in chemistry. Trying to figure out if I'll transfer right away for my 4-year or if I should try to get a little industry experience.

I'm trying to bike more. I was about to get rid of my car this fall, but I just ended up with a great job where having a car is key. So again, I'm trying to bike more to offset all that drive time. I also hope to get out a do a little weekend bike touring when I can this summer.
I’m really good at
Listening and a great conversationalist once I'm comfortable.

I'm not a bad cook at all when there is someone to cook for; my grilling skills are up there too. Nothing better than to spend the day smoking a brisket or grilling 'all' the vegetables and having some drinks with my friends.

Organizing other peoples stuffs.

Research into anything I'm interested in.

Massages, I went to a great college in my younger years for this, all the way down in Boulder, CO.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I'm tall, blond, with smiling eyes, and having a loud deep laugh. That is at least what I think they note.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm a nerd when it comes to books, fiction, Sci-Fi and actual science books. It's been organic chemistry text books lately though. I'd love some recommendations on something out of my normal range of reading.

I love all sorts of movies, from the Labyrinth and the Dark Crystal to Memento and A Man with a Movie Camera, any Wes Anderson movies, more indy films then mainstream, documentaries and anything historical, oh and of course good sci-fi, and some of the bad, if its really bad enough to be good.

Music is a long list, the short of it would be Spoon, LCD Sound System, Queens of the Stone Age, anything Mike Patton does, Tool, Kiser Kartell, Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Radiohead, mash-ups, Johnny Cash, Portishead, Del the Funky Homosapien, Gorillaz, Vampire Weekend, Scissors Sisters, the list goes on.

Food, I love trying anything, specially if prepared over fire. Most any ethnic food is great. I love finding new places and styles to try. Smoothies are a category by themselves. I may be able to live on them alone. I could really go for one about now
The six things I could never do without
In no particular order:

My friends.
Connection, in it's many forms.
Wonderful food.
Ginormous flaming balls of plasma to orbit around.
Intelligent, compassionate, reasonable people (so damn few of you left)
The last I'll leave open for emergencies.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What the hell were they thinking!
How to be a more intuitive and thoughtful
Traffic systems
Past and future, may need to be a little more in the moment sometimes.
Having a cocktail.
On a typical Friday night I am
Making beer or singing karaoke (poorly). Or if it was a long day, then maybe just staying in watching a movie and playing a $5 game of poker or board/card games with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
let me think about that....
