I was born in Ireland and raised in the Bronx. I don't have an Irish brogue but my mother does. I love New York and try to take advantage of all it has to offer. I do enjoy getting away from it all as well. Zipcar is a god send.
I'm 49 years old but you'd think I had a painting in my attic. ( yes, an Oscar Wilde reference ) I truly believe your as young as you feel.
I get a kick out of people and like getting to know them. I don't mind sitting at a communal table.
I've been sober for over 6 years and love my life without booze. I am very secure with myself and am fine with other people having fun with alcohol. I've never felt better and embrace everyday now, with my eyes open.
I have a quick wit and love to make friends laugh.
I've been single for awhile now and am a bit rusty on the dating scene. I look forward to getting together with a fun guy.
I enjoy romance and making plans for the two of us.

Trying to live in the moment.
Right now, trying to come up with another way of saying " I'm a work in progress". I have many "likes" but I'm envious of people who have found their "passion" in life. I feel close.
I'm a bartender for a living and still enjoy it about this much.... I was a comedy performer for a bit then wrote a one man show that did pretty well, downtown. As much as I thrive on stage I enjoyed writing more. I plan on taking a writing course very soon. I believe I have a book in me.

Telling a great story. Being a good listener. Making a margarita. Picking the right tie for that shirt. Housework with ecofriendly products. Laundry and ironing. Oh and intimacy.

People comment on my hair color, which is naturally silver and often my complexion.

I just finished Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett and loved it. All time favorite book is Ethan Frome by Edith Wharton. I also loved the Golden Compass trilogy anything by Sharon Shinn. I'm a big fan of Pema Chodrun. I'm always reading something and right now its a book on Buddhism and meditation.'
I love all forms of music from classical to industrial techno. Right now I'm loving " The Knife" a Sweedish pop group. I'm still a huge fan of Sinead O'Connor. Annie Lennox is also a favorite. So.... Eurythmics, U2, Bjork, This Mortal Coil, Dead can Dance, most of the eighties, Queen, Boston, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, alot of the seventies....and too much too mention.
I go to the theater alot. Broadway, off- broadway even obscure downtown stuff can be fun even when it's awful.
An a big fan of Downton Abbey, Walking Dead, Girls and Enlightened. I like Bill Maher, Meet the Press and recently started to watch Frasier from the pilot episode. Frasier had some brilliant writers. I love sci fi films.
I think Life of Pi should win best picture this year. I love classic films like Stagedoor, All about Eve, The Women and anything with Rosalind Russell.
