My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm going to try my best to be totally honest here. I consider myself pretty passionate, big-hearted, stubborn a lot, really competitive with certain things, but not very competitive with other things. All in all though I think I'm generally a pretty laid-back, relaxed person. I think the fact that I work with high school students every day has improved me in that way. I'm somebody who is always learning. I'm constantly rewriting myself and reinventing myself.

I think the orange-flavored Vitamin-C gummies are so tasty that sometimes I consume approximately 20,000% of my daily value by accident. I went to a liberal arts school in Ohio for undergrad and got my masters from the University of Chicago in English. I currently work at a charter school on the west side. At the school I teach criminal law, constitutional law, and a guitar class. I also coach the boys basketball team. I love working with the kids, connecting with them, and helping them grow and mature as students and people. In my free time I like to read, watch movies, play music with my friends, and play basketball. Derrick Rose and Dostoyevsky are both important to me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I spend all day everyday deep in the west-side hood, teaching.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Talking all riled up and passionate about things I'm into. Like good hip-hop, Neil Young albums, or books, or why it seems like the soundtrack to the first couple of Harry Potter movies is totally lifted from the original three Indiana Jones movies (and yes, I know John Williams composed them both, but is there something deeper going on here?), or the intricacies of team defense as played by the Chicago Bulls, or the Kennedy assassination, or art of all kinds, or breakfast food, or the history and evolution of punk rock, or the personalities of my students.

I'm also really good at road trips, adventures, and occasional mishaps.

Calling my homies, not nine eleven.

I can't think of a way to answer this question without feeling weird about it. I don't know. I have blue eyes.
