My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi there... So, about me. I'm smart, thoughtful, and imaginative. ENFJ, if letters are your thing. My friends say I'm funny - I like to laugh, and have a good time. Speaking of friends, it's quality over quantity - but if you make the cut, you're in for life!

I enjoy camping and the outdoors, but I also like rainy Sundays at home. I love movies, books, losing myself in a great story. I'm a great cook, I like growing things, learning new things. (Sunday is often documentaries-on-Netflix day.)

Essentially I'm a decent guy, looking for a sharp, witty, engaging, and challenging person to hang out with... we'll see where it takes us. Doesn't have to be tomorrow, but I'm not into the casual thing really either.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I just moved to Saint Louis a few years ago, and it was a bumpy ride at first, but it's all coming together now. I have a great job and I'm happy & healthy... the rest will take care of itself!

I work and live in south city with my two Huskies. We love it here.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
• putting people at ease
• building campfires
• solving puzzles
• absolutely useless trivia (you definitely want me on your team if it's a contest)
• being on time
• getting in over my head
• sleeping in
• remembering details
• remaining calm in a crisis
• preparing for the impending zompocalypse
• picking colors
• sarcasm/witty banter
• bullet point lists

My eyes? I get that a lot. They're very blue, and they twinkle when I'm pulling shenanigans, which is pretty much all the time.

It's hard to say... I like what I like.

I worked in bookstores for a few years, so to say I have a personal library would be an understatement. That the library continues to grow long after the bookstore days? No can defend. Robert Heinlein, Neal Stephenson, Charles Stross, have written some of my favorite books, the ones I read over & over.

I like classic (early Warner Bros., RKO, etc.) cinema, and a huge range of modern films. Make your characters real, make me care about them, and I'm in.

I don't watch a ton of regular TV, because the stuff I like doesn't tend to catch on. Except with the British. Yes, that was a Who reference. Love Mad Men, most of the AMC shows, and the Netflix Originals. TED talks.

I can't cross Tamm Ave. without thinking "Simon & River". Whedon is a genius.

I have a soft spot for girl rockers, and I like to turn them up really loud in the car. Like, unhealthily loud. (If music was water, I would happily drown in Hayley Williams' voice.). I also grew up with two older sisters, so I can sing pretty much any cheesy song from the 70s or 80s, whether you want to hear it or not.

I'm a foodie but not a snob about it... I love an upscale dinner, but I'm also not opposed to a pretzel-dog from Gus'.

I'm pretty adventurous with all of the above... I'll generally try anything once.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
If the past few years have taught me nothing else, it's that there's VERY little in the way of 'things' I can't do without... so in no particular order, my list of nice-to-haves: books, music, movies, my iPhone, a good pillow, witty repartee
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
A lot of things. The wheels are always turning.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Taking it easy at home, or out hitting happy hour with friends... depends on how the week went and what's going on, really.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
There are some pretty cheesy skeletons in my iTunes closet.
