I believe that we’re never done learning, and I force myself into opportunities to grow as an individual when-ever I can. For instance, I decided I needed to learn to be able to make more with my hands and so over the summer I’ve learned basic carpentry. I've started building a 10x12 workshop in my backyard. Which I hope to use learn many other skills like programming arduinos, circuitry, sewing, basic metal work, and other similar crafts. My end goal is be skilled in multiple crafts like Adam Savage from Mythbusters. I would say Jaime Hyneman , but I have no illusions about my capability to grown a majestic walrus-Stache.
I like to see myself as a structured individual, I keep to a schedule, show up to things on time, try to plan ahead, and even have a rough five year plan for my life.
At the same time, I’m still a dork. I don’t mind poking fun at myself, joking around, or take myself to seriously. I’m the first one to go along with an embarrassing dare (as long as it’s not illegal) if other people are willing to follow along. “Go as the powerpuff girls for Halloween? Sure, I call bubbles!”
If I ever have children, it will be my sole objective to embarrass them at any and all opportunities.
“Oh hey girls, what are you and your friends up to? Is that the new holographic hair displayer?! Let me try, I call this one the Skrillex, after the musician.”
“DADDDD Nobody knows who that is, go away you’re embarrassing me!”
I’m an optimist and try to look towards a brighter future, such as one in which my children don’t know who Skrillex is.
