My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am fascinated with the stage. I haven't been a part of any stage production in quite a few years now, but that doesn't keep me from enjoying Broadway music, and the rare live performance.

I've always enjoyed being a part of behind the scenes - as either cast or crew, either one is fun for me. This extends beyond just drama for me. I love working behind the curtain in any sort of production, which led me to working security at conventions on the east coast. When working behind the scenes like this, much of the magic is spoiled for me - but instead, I get to be part of the magic.

I would self describe as a geek. I've been playing role-playing games for many years now. My need to create expresses itself here as well - I am usually the one running the game, planning the story for other players.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently I work at a board game store, which suits me just fine. I actually found the job partially through my work at conventions - the company spends a large amount of time selling at conventions, so my background most certainly helped me get this position. I travel to shows around three times a month, and run the booth in the expo hall of various conventions.

My work schedule includes weekends, so I've been having some trouble meeting new people in the area. Hence, this profile.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I can list many of the typical geek stuff here - computers, role playing, board games, bad puns...

I'm good at logic problems. Sometimes I catch myself treating real life problems like logic problems, sometimes to great results - other times, it's just plain silly.

I'm good at being patient with people. I would call myself a good listener, but I'm even better at supplying a shoulder for support.

I'm good at pretending to be good at cooking. I have a small list of recipes that I have gotten fairly good at. I often find myself reading a recipe for inspiration, and then deviating heavily from what the recipe suggests.

I'm good at driving long distances. I've driven as far as Oklahoma to visit a friend graduating from Army basic training.

I'm good at juggling devil sticks.

My height. At 6'3", and fairly thin, my height stands out quite a bit. I'd like to think my smile comes a close second.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My eyesight, smiles from strangers, bad puns, geek chats, creativity, the stage.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Beliefs. I am fascinated by the myriad of beliefs in our world, and how they shape a person. Beliefs shape our society more than facts do - which can be as uplifting as it can be frightening. I spent a year of my life questioning everyone I knew on their beliefs, and I received many beautiful answers.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
As I work most weekends, I'm just going to replace 'Friday' with 'Sunday' here.

I have a few things I enjoy doing here. A quiet night with my roommates, cooking dinner and watching some TV, makes for a nice relaxing night.

When I'm in the mood for something more social, I'll call up a few friends for some board games and a few drinks. From time to time, I'll spend my Sundays driving out to Boston to visit friends for my (slightly offset) weekend.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I larp.

If you are the kind of person who loves new experiences. If you are the kind of person who can't sleep the night before an adventure because you are too excited for what's coming up. If you take steps two at a time, jump fences, wrestle dogs, and play with cats.
