My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a bit quiet at first till I get my bearings of what a person is like, but when I open up, I’m a bit loud and tenacious. I prefer to be a more of a listener in conversations but have no problem doing the majority of the talking if the table gets quiet. I tend to make a lot of bad jokes / puns, but every once in a while I nail humor a good one between the eyes.I tend to spend my off-work time tinkering in the garage or relaxing in whatever manner presents itself, either hanging out with friends at a bar / restaurant, trying out some new game, or just reading on my netbook out in the` burbs somewhere. Been pretty sedentary the last few years, but the last month has been seeing me trying to get back in shape a lot more, when I have the time, mostly trying to squeeze in more walks, less fast food.

i have a sharp, some might say, obscene sense of humor, i can switch topics quiet quickly (in a good way) and have conversations ranging from politics to the viability of worm holes, space time causality, making fun of emos, back to real world stuff like the ability of our armed forces to make effective change in Afghanistan and Iraq (which currently is pretty marginal at best IMHO) i have an extremely stream of thought style of writing and talking, with almost no brain to mouth filter when i get relaxed or not on the job. I also enjoy cooking and grilling food, typically i don't use instructions, i just see what i have and figure it out as i go, typically to great results (but there have been some spectacular failures, like the refried beans and hash browns i made while hiking in Wyoming... yeesh)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
For work, I am in a law enforcement support position doing electronic monitoring of various types of offenders. if it sounds vague, its because their's some privacy stuff with the job, but their's some great stories in there between the NDA lines.
I like to play video, table top, and board games, collect WWII soviet firearms, and work on them. *** see things i think about if the gun stuff puts you off***
I'm certified as a basic archery instructor, so thats fun.
I'm pretty mechanical, i like to take stuff apart, figure out how it works, and get it back together. (with no parts left over preferably, heh.)

I also like just hanging out with friends, either playing games, getting food and coffee, or just hanging around bullshi**ing and talking. Also been known to just hang around a forest preserve for an afternoon.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

*** I suppose living near Chicago, it would be a good idea to put up a bit more about myself and Firearms, see i like my guns, i like military history as it relates to technology, and having a piece of that. I also like them for the maintenance aspect, as i like working with physical objects. I believe in the right to bear arms as a democratic nation, giving the populace a fall back if the electoral system does not function correctly, either through ignorance and malaise as is the case today, or corruption and manipulation, as may be the case in the future ala Gibson/Ballard.
This should not be confused with toeing the NRA right wing line, I believe that the current Gun control efforts are a bloody joke; Education and testing are non existent, and that guns should be classified according to damage potential (caliber, magazine ect.) size,semi/bolt action full auto, e / concealability in a ranking requiring progressively more testing and education to use them.
that's the short version, and that should help clear up any misconceptions, but if you want to message me that I'm wrong, and asshole, whatever, feel free.
