My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I joined OKCupid just for the tests, but thought creating a profile couldn't hurt. I not a chatterbox (unless I'm really into the subject on the floor) and not particularly extraverted, but I find people fascinating, including myself, as I see the mysteryiousness of God (or whatever term you wish to use for the universe or a higher power) and depth of the human psyche as the true final frontier. I'm like beef jerky, people love me or hate me. I'm very direct, and that seems to weird peole out sometimes, but I'm also someone who doesn't run from a tnse situation, and people soon learn I'll stick in there if you need it, despite my judgements. I'm kind of a sucker for a sob story, well, I don't exactly buy into them, but I have enough of a hero complex that I'll try and solve things anyway. And on rare occasions I do. I love learning about people's life stories (family, culture, special experiences), but usually won't let people get away with using such as an excuse for bs. I love life, and sometimes really hate it too, but also wouldn't have it any other way.

I am compassionate, ingenious, and radically honest
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I just finished all of my BA in psychology requirements except for foreign language at CSUSM, which I'll be working on over the next year and then it's on to grad school. Not sure exactly where I'll go, as I want to be a psychotherapist and want a program with lots of hands on counselling work, not lab research. I earn my living as a house-painter, and occasionally make a little on the side as a tarot card reader. YES, you may message me if you want a reading.

I belong to the Bahai Faith and am oretty active in the community. For those of you who do not know, the Bahai Faith is an independent world religion who two main principles are the oneness of mankind (we are all the children of God or whatever term you use for Creator, and thus are capable on getting along by understanding unity and diversity) and independent investigation of truth (while we have administration, we don't have clergy; it's up to every individual to make their own decisions about the path they choose to follow). While this sounds very nice- and it is- it is also very challenging. It is easy to say you think we are all equal, but it is often a challenge to get along with those very different from you. If you find yourself different from me and want to take that challenge, cool.

I do a little bit of acting, and enjoy looking for creative ways to use drama in spirtiual pursuits. This can shock more conservative religious type, but I find emotion and intensity- not just calm and "reverent" prayer and meditation to be a very spiritual experience.

I participate in a Radical Honesty practice group in LA. I hope to receive further training in it, and use it in my future psychotherapeutic practices. RH focuses on intimacy in the moment, focuses on our personal experience rather than our interpretation of it, and aims to have people relate to each other rather than control and manipulate each other. This is done by paying attention to the sensations in your body as you are communicating and revealing them to others, using the phrases "I resent you for...", "I appreciate you for...", "I have a judgment...", "I want...", "I am attracted to you..." and "I make me...", and NOT using than the convential bullshit of "I (don't)like it when...", "You should...", "It makes me...", "You make me..." and all other patterns where people focus more on being right than on relating to the other person. If you would like to come to the RH practice group sometime, mesage me, and I'll probaly get back to you.

I just finished a course in theta healing wherein one put themself into the theta brainwave state (the state right before you fall asleep) which many would classify as intuitive or psychic. Interesting stuff.

To unwind I like to, in addition to all listed above, hang out with friends, swim and snorkel in the ocean, and sometimes go out to karaoke (even though I'm a pretty lousy singer, it's just fun).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I make the best damn spaghetti sauce on the planet. My gingerbread is also the best around.

I am a skilled tarot card reader and okay with astrology.

I am very observant, and have great memory, and rarely forget the birthdays of those I care about(okay, so being into astrology helps on that one).

I am a very good listener and noticer.
