Hi, I'm Stu. I'm an enthusiastic and positive individual who likes stories, play, and good times with friends.

Living it well, hopefully. Enjoying myself where I can, helping others out if possible. I unicycle to work at a library, where I do library things. Then I ride home and read, or play a game, or go out climbing or riding some more. I like good conversation, debate even. From a small family that I'd like to make bigger.

Making friends, and mostly at keeping them. Unicycling, though there are plenty better than me. Staying optimistic, yet sceptical.

An up to date survey - my "rad" hat, or my recently shaven head if the hat is absent. The unicycle, and the fact that "one of [my] wheels is missing", yawn. And a late entry: "The ever present aura of serenity and patience." Well, I do like that one! And an extra late entry: "looks like he could bench press a bear", though I feel that may be a hint hyperbolic.

Previous survey results - "magnificent facial hair", "mad diabolo skills", "heckling" (really not heckling) at a work training event.

Books - fantasy and sci-fi. Neil Gaiman, Iain Banks, George R.R. Martin... Humour, science and philosophy. Sam Harris, Christopher Hitchens, Danny Wallace. Comics, coffee table books, other things.

Movies - Mostly something with substance, but the odd piece of throwaway trash is acceptable. Big Fish, Sunshine, Inception, Shawshank, The Core, etcetera...

Shows - Is this TV shows? Then Game of Thrones, Firefly, Cracker. Is it theatre and such? Then comedy, particularly Stewart Lee, Richard Herring, Dave Gorman.

Music - Whatever sounds good. The Jezabels, The Divine Comedy, Iron Maiden, and lots more.

Food - Well, I don't like liver, creme brulee, coffee... Quicker than listing what I do like.

I like videogames too - good escapism, great impossible experiences. Not really into poetry, but not closed off to it either.

The things I'm looking forward to. The things I've enjoyed already. The meaning of things, how things work. Ideas, though often not my own.

Working, watching a film, playing a game, at a gig, out with friends, etc., etc. Wednesday and Thursday nights are pretty fixed, but I try not to have too much 'typical'.

I've learnt some lessons.
