My self-summary
Well, I like to
read
a lot, and I've tried my hand at
writing stuff, but that doesn't turn out
very well. My drawing skills are even lower than that, but I still
enjoy doing it from time to time. I don't have a religion, not am I
looking for one, though I am not AGAINST any religion. I like
fantasy and science fiction genres the most. Romantic comedies kick
ass, as well as some adventure plots. When I say adventure, I mean
something closer to Indiana Jones than Rambo or something like
that. I like riding my bike and going swimming. I dislike the heat
because I begin to melt if I'm in it for very long, so summer is
not my favorite season.
Elemental Magic is my favorite
fantasy type to wonder about. I'm a writer and daydreamer. I love
to be romantic, surprising those I like with gifts they weren't
expecting, or leaving notes for them to find. I will simply melt in
front of a genuine, warm smile. And, I'd like to actually meet
someone, so if you want to get to know me, take a shot and
contact me.
What I'm doing with my life
Right now is just work and school. I sometimes try to be social,
but I'm not very good at it, and usually end up eating or sitting
alone. I work at a veterinary clinic cleaning surgical instruments
after surgery and unloading orders that we receive. I don't really
enjoy it, but considering the pay, I'm pretty lucky to have it,
though I'd rather be doing something I actually care about than
this. Other than that, I'm either online filling up percentage
amounts or reading or playing video games. If I still had a bike, I
would go out and ride it (Maybe, it's so freaking hot) once in a
while.
I'm really good at
I'm good at listening, and trying to understand where other people
are coming from. I always try to be a responsive and caring
shoulder to cry on when one is needed. I'm good at making people
feel better about themselves. I'm good at
daydreaming , although I have no
idea if that'll take me anywhere. I'm excellent at having way too
many thoughts flying through my head at the same at any given
moment. I'm ok at writing, although others would make more of it.
I'm excellent at
keeping people warm . On
cold nights or if someone held a door open too long, I'm perfect to
have at your side to warm you up. I rarely am affected by chilly
temperatures and love to get close and shield them from the icy
air. I've been told that in combination with the heat thing, I'm
very comfortable . I've had several people fall asleep while
leaning against me. I'm always willing to give bear hugs and just
let people relax while they're with me. There's no need to pretend
with me. I am also apparently a very trustworthy person. I've
realized lately that people find it really easy to talk to me about
personal issues they don't tell other people. Was sort of a
surprise to me.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me
Probably that I look a little scary. I'm not though, I'm just big
in height and width of my shoulders. That and I don't smile a lot,
I bet I do look a little creepy walking down the street. Depending
on the day, you'll catch me with a beard or a shaven face. I have a
bad habit of not shaving for a few days and then getting rid of it
all in one go. Personality wise, I think people will notice that
while I'm willing to talk, I tend to be rather quiet at first, but
after talking with someone for a short time, I tend to warm up
quickly.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Ah books, I love them, and I honestly try to give them all a fair
chance, but some just make me wonder how in hell they ever got
published and sold anything. Mainy I like fantasy, sci fi (though I
read that less than fantasy) and I don't think I've ever read a
romance novel. I love books about elemental magic and usage. Fire,
water, earth, air, that sort of thing. Easily my favorite type of
fantasy currently. It used to be dragons, but I moved on once I
realized (at least to me anyway) that dragons are like humans. Some
are good some are evil, so I shouldn't take insult at dragons being
killed, because not all of them are stereotyped. Am I geek for
overthinking all this?
Movies huh? As with books, I like to give them a fair chance, but
stupid funny movies, like Dumb and Dumber do not appeal to me at
all. I just do not get why we are laughing at these juvenile jokes
so much that these movies continue to get made.
Music, I like a lot. If I can understand the words, and it's not
entirely about sex or drugs or fighting or something like that,
I'll probably be into it. Music is kind of like books and movies, I
wonder how these get sold sometimes when the songs don't even make
sense half the time.
With food, I'm not exactly on the healthy side. I should be, but
the healthiest stuff out there are uncooked veggies and fruits. I
can't eat them like that. They just taste gross to me. That's why I
don't eat salads and never will. I like most cooked vegetables,
broccoli, artichoke, peas, carrots, etc. But there will always be
some foods I will never like, such as mushrooms, tomatoes, or
asparagus.
The six things I could never do without
Books, friends, water (I think I'd die if I went a day without
fresh water), my imagination, nature and the elements (that was all
one), and rain (does rain count separate from the nature thing or
not?)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Possibilities and potential. Easily my favorite things to ponder.
What is possible, everything is possible and everything has
potential. Just because it isn't likely doesn't mean it isn't
possible. It's saying things like this that help me stay my belief
that there at least WAS magic in this world at one point. I also
spend a lot of time thinking that if I could see without glasses or
contacts, I'd love the rain about ten times as more as I already
do, because then I could go out into it and not have to worry about
being able to see. I've thought about this a lot. Many people would
assume that magic, if it were real, that is evil and of the devil.
I present an argument to that. I see magic or magical energy or
whatever you may choose to call it, as a tool. As quoted in a book
I am reading "As is a rock in the hand of one with evil intentions.
It is not the rock that is the problem, but the heart of the man."
My entire argument is in those two sentences. If someone threw a
rock at you, you wouldn't get angry at the stone for making your
head hurt, now would you? You would be angry at the person who
threw the rock. I believe the same with magic. The magic is not
evil itself, though it may be used for evil purposes. It is not the
entity itself, but the wielder of such an entity. (Sorry, end
dork/geek speak) After that last note, I realized something. There
is a difference between the three words: dork, nerd, and geek. Dork
seems to me that said dork is low in intelligence or common sense.
A nerd is actually very smart, but is made fun of for that reason,
and often study a lot. And then geeks are people like me who
slightly obsess about things that aren't real or likely to be real.
People who like to think of things that are only truly alive in our
imaginations. What do you think of those assessments? Message me if
you feel like arguing or adding, or just commenting on it. I'd love
to hear some opinions.
On a typical Friday night I am
Well, take a guess. I'm writing this on a Friday night. Doesn't
exactly say much for me, does it? And I'm not really motivated to
do anything socially tonight.
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here
I don't know, why don't you ask me, just to see if I'll answer it?
I'm pretty open, so even though I'm shy, I love answering
questions. Fire away, I may surprise you with the answer I give.
You should message me if
Hell, if you want to. If you're open-minded and want to talk about
anything. Message me if you just need to spill your guts to someone
anonymous (I don't think I spelled that right) or you need some
comforting. I'm always willing to listen, even more so if no one in
your life is. You should message me if you think you might be
interested in dating me, even for only a single night just for
something to do. I'd love to get to know some new people.
If I sound at all like someone you might like to talk to, whether
you need someone to just listen, or you actually feel like talking
to me, please send me a message. I'll gladly reply. And if I'm able
to make you smile at all if we talk, then I'll be happy just to
have done that. And if you have any questions at all you'd like to
know about me. I love answering questions, and will answer any
question put to me...that I know about.
