Well lets see. I've been described as humble, brilliant, visionary,
dashing, very humble, and mankind's last best hope for peace.
On my off hours from being awesome, I've been known to make smart
ass remarks, jokes, and other mirthful carnage.
I was in business management for a lot of years before I decided to
chuck it all. I was good at it, but I basically realized that I
wasn't having much fun at it, so I decided to change things. I
enrolled in college to study history and then writing (yes,
basically a 180).
I admit that I can be intense at times when I am in the mood or get
on roll about something (usually religion or politics). But most of
the time I am someone who likes everyone to have a good time and am
quick with the funny or teasing words.
What I’m doing with my life
UPDATE: I have just graduated officially. Yay me. I've decided to
stay in the area while I look for a decent job to pay the bills
while I finish my first novel. But everything I will, at least
professionally, do from here out will focused towards my career as
I’m really good at
Reading people, organizing things in a way that people don't get
but then things end up more efficient, obscure references that make
me seem super smart except that people aren't sure what I am
talking about, improv, making people wonder if I was being serious
The first things people usually notice about me
I could flatter myself and say that people remark upon my feral
hazel eyes that shine in the moonlight. But I imagine the truth is
my height and/or my shoulders. Or my ass, if they are sneaking up
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Burning Chrome, Thieves World anthologies, Anything by Fritz
Lieber, Shelley, Michio Kaku, Gibson, Alan Moore.
Movies: Blade Runner, Black Rain, Pitch Black, any scifi, western,
or historical stuff.
The six things I could never do without
A dazzling sense of humor
My new blender
Boots that are made for walking.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Writing, but just not the act itself, but the theory and tricks
that can be used with words to make them seem like living, evolving
sentient beings all on their own. And sex.
I also occasionally dream about getting a boat and disappearing for
ever, never to be seen again, except for the occasional novel,
story, or poem I would send out into the world from parts unknown.
I have actually probably given too much thought to this idea. And
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually just relaxing from a week of mind numbing coursework and
those who are trying to steal my mental energy - professors,
tutees, people staring at me on the streets, aliens, etc. That
usually entails a movie, often at home, and usually some classwork
that I need to have done by Monday. Exciting, isn't it?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I kissed a girl - and I liked it!
That or, while I get along very easily with people almost all the
time, I'm actually not that easy to know really well without some
effort. I think trust is important in a relationship and I don't
open up very easily until I get to know someone.
Also, I don't drive. My license isn't suspended or anything like
that. I don't have one. Partially because I have a motion related
illness that makes me very drowsy (more the vibration than the
motion, actually) when driving and partially because I just don't
like driving. That doesn't mean I am looking for a chauffeur, but
it can affect a relationship depending on the situation. For some
it is a deal breaker, so I like to be upfront about it.
You should message me if
If you like overly smart guys who love to cuddle and might even
quote some poetry every once in a while when he isn't bitching
about politics or how the Knicks suck. Or if you like smart-asses.
That last part is non-negotiable, I'm afraid.
