My self-summary Propose an edit
Reflecting back on myself and what defines me, I guess you could
say is that I love being out on the water and around nature.
Fishing, boating, water skiing, and kayaking are some of my
favorite activities. When I am not on the water, I love to be
somewhere skiing, camping, or hiking. I love to visit new places
and hope to see many sites along the way. Hockey is one of the only
sports I am serious about (Go Flyers!). I do watch baseball,
football, and other sports occasionally, just not as much as
hockey.
I like cities, but just to visit. For some reason I feel very
cramped if I am there for too long. I love to travel and see new
sites. Someday I hope to have time and money to travel.
I am constantly reading and trying to improve myself. My faith is
something that defines me as a person, and I hope my actions can
say that rather then me preaching at people.
Family is very important to me, and look forward to be having one
of my own. My own family is also very close, and support me in
whatever I do. I would not be where I am today without them.
This close family and my focus on faith and walking with God helps
me to have a passion for working with kids and their families,
because so many people have what I do not have.
I think that sums up quite a lot about myself, but I am sure that
talking to you will help get a better overall picture.
What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit
I feel that my life calling is to help people, which is probably
why my major is social work. I graduated with my BSW in the spring
of 08, and am currently working toward my MSW (hopefully will be
getting it in 09).
My goal is to get into a job where I can help children and their
families, because so many people do not have what I have with my
own family.
I'm really good at Propose an edit
I am told that I am a people person, though I will let you be the
judge. I like playing my alto sax every once in a while, and am
told that I'm not bad. I'm decent at volleyball and racquetball
too.
One thing is that I am many times not serious and just like to
laugh. I am a very optimistic person and can never let certain
events in life bring me down for a long period of time. It is
because of this I am told that I am a good listener and can make
anyone smile if I try. I am not so sure how true that last part is,
but I will certainly try!
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me Propose an edit
Outgoing and always looking for something to laugh at. Oh, dogs and
little children also like me for some strange reason.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit
1) I like fantasy, action/adventure, historical fiction, and
mystery/law type books. Some of my favorite authors are: Robert
Jordan, Terry Goodkind, Tom Clancy, Robert North Paterson, and Dan
Brown. I also of course like to read the bible, because it is a
guide on how I am to live my life.
2)I am your typical guy and most movies I like are action adventure
or comedy. I also like movies that make me think. Some of my
favorite movies are: Gladiator, The Departed, Over the Hedge,
Serenity, Super Troopers, Forest Gump, Shrek 1 & 2, Se7en, Man
On Fire, The Shawshank Redemption, Fight Club, The Prestige,
Stardust, Monty Python: The Holy Grail, Robin Hood: Men in Tights,
the old Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory, the old Star Wars movies,
LOTR, Batman Begins, and many others...
3)My music taste is very diverse. I like most rock music, some
country, jazz, a very little rap, and every once in a while
classical. I really like bands who can play as well if not better
in concert then they can on a cd.
My favorite bands are: O.A.R., Three Days Grace, Dave Matthews
Band, Enter the Haggis, Gin Blossoms, Seether, Finger Eleven,
Vertical Horizon, Incubus, John Mayer Trio, Mindi Abrair, Sting
& the Police, The Eagles, and many more.
4)Food really depends on my mood. I love pizza, steak, most sea
food, salad, and most fruit. I'll try anything once, but I do not
care for mushrooms, sushi, raw tomatoes, or ham BBQ.
The six things I could never do without Propose an edit
1)God and my faith - without Jesus saving me I would not have a
purpose.
2)my family & friends - always supporting and loving me when I
don't deserve it.
3)my past experiences - they have shaped me for who I am
today
4)wilderness and new places to explore - without adventure what is
worth living?
5)the ability to think for myself and help others - God's purpose
for my life
6)a home to come back to - my secure place that I can feel safe

Depends on the week...sometimes I go out with friends, watching a
movie, just relaxing after a hard week, or find something in town
to do.
Going to get half-price appetizers at Applebees or Bennigans

well if it was private, then why would I share it?

You need a good laugh, a friend, or even just want to just talk. If
you are looking for something more, I am not going to promise
anything. No one can force anyone else to "love" them, just as
individuals can't make their own feelings. However, both people can
choose on how to act on those feelings. This philosophy has been a
foundation in my life, I hope it is yours too.
