I'm looking for a heartbeat in cyber-space.

If you have a sense of humor, a creative spirit, a little intellectual curiosity, and a desire for cultural adventure and exploration then maybe you’re the heartbeat I’m looking for. If you’re honest and dependable and you’re hard drive doesn’t crash (at least not too often) then maybe you and I are a match. And if you’re expecting the above-mentioned qualities in me then maybe there’s a chance for us. I know that a relationship is not a one-way web address.

When I’m not online (which is most of the time) I have variety of interests.

They include but are not limited to: movies, dancing, listening to and playing music, outdoor hiking cycling and canoeing, live theater, and music and art festivals.

In movies I favor the unusual such as: “Fargo”, “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”, “Eat Drink, Man Women”, but I'm not limited to any one kind of film

I do most of my hiking and biking in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Once I got caught in a rainstorm bicycling on the towpath from Peninsula to Pleasant Valley. By the time I got back to my car all the drenched dust on the towpath covered me in a sea of mud. I had to drive home in my underwear because my cycling outfit was caked in mud. I also enjoy canoeing and beaching at Presque Isle in Erie PA.

I've done a little bit of traveling through Europe and the U.K. I have a great photo of myself golfing in front of Stonehenge. The Druids must be turning in their graves.

Buy the way I have two terrific nephews who are musically creative and are in punk rock bands. One of them has signed to an Independent record label.

So if you think you’re the heartbeat I’m looking for then maybe we can cut through all the pixilated jive and reach out to one another in the real world.

I lean towards Sci Fi and Fantasy novels. I especially enjoy Piers Anthony and his Xanth series. I never know what kind of book will interest me. In the past I’ve enjoyed the “Wisdom of Crowds” and the “Tipping Point.” I’m notorious for browsing Newspaper and Magazine articles and then investigating the content of those articles on the Internet for more in depth info. I’ll go to the library and browse the bookracks in every category until something leaps out that interests me. In my younger days I read Hemmingway, Salanger, Jack London and Kurt Vonnegut. Is there anyone out there who has read any of the crazy Tom Robbins’ novels such as Jitterbug Perfume?

As far as cuisine is concerned: I like Asian, Greek, Italian, and some Mexican cooking. I enjoy dishes with curry on occasion.
