My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hard working blue collar, bearded, neurodivergent, metal/glass-working, coop and fence building, wrench turning, slow driving, bespectacled, non-binary idealist and ardent lover of people.

I yearn for a much simpler life and the company of kindhearted folk.

ENFJ, if that's your cup of tea.
Self identified as a 2.5 on the Kinsey.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I deliver office supplies by truck, nothing crazy, nothing complicated, just good honest labor.

I build well engineered, quality chicken coops on the side. And I'm building myself a tinyhome. Work in progress, but really, we all are.

Constant state of self improvement and awareness.

I'm an advocate for urban agriculture and local sustainability. I'm just as at home debating zoning ordinance as I am tilling, tending, weeding, harvesting, and homesteading.

I recently made a goal of, each day, getting at least an hour of cardio by biking around the city after work. So far, I haven't been doored.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I fix things, if it can be repaired, I'll find a way.

Oral conversation, the username kinda gives it away.

I have been known to exhibit spurts of free verse creativity, occurrences are increasing in frequency.

Green thumb to the max.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I drive like your Gramps. No really, I take it slow.

Also, I am not little, I am frequently referred to as an Ox, Yeti, Bear, or Hulk.

My guffaws rival the barbaric yalps of Whitman, and can be heard for several blocks.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Major caveat: I can't read well, at least not at the adult level, so I pretty much only have cookbooks, home repair guides, periodicals, and Calvin and Hobbes. If you're a bibliophile, I dig that. Neruda and Whitman have my regular attention, as well, Frost, and several modern poets.

Don't own a TV, but dig Eureka, Firefly, BSG, Due South, Downton (don't judge!), Doctor Who (Eccleston ftw), and I've casually watched GoT...
I watch a lot of documentaries, my favorite being 180 degrees South.
I don't get into sportsing much beyond roller derby.
If I'm not careful, Skyrim will purloin an entire evening.

Joy Kills Sorrow, Electric Wizard, Vivaldi's Oboe Concerti, Hawksly Workman, Opeth, Deadmau5, Binary Star, and Neal Hellman. I grew up on Simon and Garfunkle, Iron Butterfly, and BS&T. I'm glued to NPR at work and while driving, I love Fresh Air, Performance Today, Harmonia, and The Story (with Dick Gordon).

Predominantly herbivorous omnivore. I'm not picky, but if you dislike olives and/or beets (exceptions made for goldens), we're best friends. Curry, root veggies, oatmeal banana bread.

Whiskey and/or Rye. IPA's.

This category is missing:
Klimt, Matisse, Kahlo, Mucha, Ostrozovich, not in that order.

Also, pie.

I really miss cheese.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The commons
Creative/design outlets
Wheels
Work
Chapstick
The five senses

(7. Palindromes???)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
More recently obsessed with building my tinyhome.

Utopian Socialism, no central government/currency.

Subsistence Agriculture, there's more than enough land to feed the world with whole foods, we needn't process food products into other food products.

Interstate Pedalways/Trails, why, in this country at least, is foot travel so frowned upon, Daniel Boone and Johnny Appleseed managed just fine without cars.

Informed Consent and the Enthusiastic Yes. Taken out of context they sound like a striking title for a musical. Taken in context, they're a part of my vocabulary and I practice them quite sternly.

What exactly is home, what is family?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Tinkering, reading, boozing, wrenching, or riding...

Long autumn bike rides are an instant positive response. Bonus points for stargazing.

My go-to haunt is the Dorman, but a change of scenery would be nice.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am worn on dating. I'd rather just meet people who feel like home, comfortable and compassionate. Some days, that's all I want..

I'd also rather chuck all my possessions into a crate, move to some open acreage, and begin planting food crops than continue to work for any other person than the whole of my community.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
I really truly don't have prerequisites for this. But given the nature of dating and the varying degrees of intention, from potential acquaintance to life partner, you should probably be okay with the following:
I live tiny, very tiny. I work a great deal, and enjoy it. I love fervently, compassionately. And I am quite serious about my future and our planet.

You should also message me if you'd like to ride around the city, I'm always down for a bike date!!

I also have no issue with driving 12 hours for a weekend getaway, just saying.
