My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am never in a comfort zone. Once a job or hobby gets old I move on to something else. I never want to hear the same song twice. Is 28,000 songs too many for a Rhapsody playlist? This year I tried something different. I took on short-term consulting jobs and moved in with roommates at each job. I am now in Milwaukee and probably not going to get a roommate this time unless perhaps you read this profile and convince me I should try it again. It was fun learning about different people. My hobbies keep changing too. I like finding out what people are into and learn new things. Sometimes it may be something cool like motorcycling, or sometimes it is something very geeky like learning to read shorthand.

I am assertive, competitive, and a risk-taker.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I love to travel. The thrill is to meet new people just as much as seeing new places. When I was a seven I used to take everything apart to find out how things worked. I found a creative use for my curiosity and I now design new products. I enjoy biking including Critical Mass rides. I recently combined geocaching into the hicking, biking mix.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I play live pro card tournaments. I play spades and poker. I just have a knack and ended up winning several awards at tournaments in the US and Canada and more recently at O'Shaughnessy's and Jury's pubs in Chicago. Even more recently I have played the poker tournaments at Victor's and Playoff Pubs in Milwaukee. I used to work finding faults with electrical components and controls and I suppose that turned me into the most critical consumer. I want the best of everything and can't stand things poorly designed.
The first things people usually notice about me

People like my eyes. Oh, and I suppose people probably are quick to notice I speak my mind.

I am a huge fan of "Lost" and "The Office" (both US and UK). I like Napoleon Dynamite. I say that because I find people either love it or hate it. With that movie you just experience the randomness of someone's pathetic life. You also see that even a pathetic life has a few shining moments. I have seen enough movies about people with super powers. I suppose super-powers aren't all bad. That Heroes show on NBC got pretty interesting for a while and who can't forget the great line from "The Incredibles": "Everyone can be Super! And when everyone's super then nobody is super." I don't think I can regress further.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
After the obvious: friends, music, a good laugh once in a while....I'm tired so sleep.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Things I could have done differently in my life. I sometimes think about people I introduced who ended up getting married and had kids. I wonder how that random introduction created life and how those people's lives will alter other people's lives and....dang...this could drive someone batty, I better cut this out!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
out to eat somewhere or at some bar hopefully with a good band or comedy act. I might just be out riding a motorcycle, bicycle or maybe I got friends together for volleyball or to play video games.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

This profile is really old so I should update it. I do have a more updated profile. See if you can find it! I plan to see how much my newer profile matches my older profile to see how much I have changed. I just checked: I am a 99% match with the new me. I guess that means I put some thought into my match questions and I only changed by 1%.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You should message me if you want to increase your circle of friends, want to play a game of volleyball, pinball, fooseball, ping pong, spades, hearts, poker, euchre, scrabble. Perhaps if you just want to ride bikes, motorcycles, boat, ski, sky dive, try out for a musical, take a dance class, practice golf, tennis, go ballooning. See a show, fly somewhere.
