I am neoclassical, aloof, and unconventional.

My Self-Summary

I'm a recent Houston-area resident. I work in video games. It's a great job. :D

I'm also an INTJ if you're up on the MBTI/Jung lingo.

I've answered over 1000 of the Improve Match questions so my percentages are, hopefully, a good representation of how compatible we may be.

No one over 32 please. No smokers either. :3

What I’m doing with my life

During the day I'll be at werk. Evenings, nights, and weekends I'm almost always at home indulging in one or more geeky pursuits. (Gaming, drawing, movies, and so on.)

I'm also having an on again off again relationship with my WACOM tablet.

I’m really good at

A great many things, apparently. Jack of All Trades, Master of None type. I'm quite good at gaming but I'm not one of those tournament player jackasses.

I'm a quick learner, so I enjoy trying out new things.

The first things people usually notice about me

My tattoos. One on each hand. Most people are too shy to say anything so all I ever seem to get are strange looks. After those I'd say people notice my general appearance because I'm tall, thin, and usually wear black clothing.

Nothing Hot Topic-y, mind you. Standard black pants and a thin black overshirt. Most efficient way to dress, I've found.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Arcology: The City in the Image of Man, The Singularity is Near, The Zombie Survival Guide, World War Z, The Man Who Was Thursday, The Man in the High Castle.

Movies: V for Vendetta, Fight Club, anything with zombies, Colossus: The Forbin Project, The Day After, Dr. Strangelove (and anything Kubrick), The Dark Knight, Super Mario Brothers, Street Fighter, (the previous two are those god awful live action versions), the Lord of the Rings trilogy, American Psycho, Serenity and far too many others to list.

Music: Classical, Techno, Neoclassical, and other, random bits. I, no pun intended, play my musical tastes by ear.

Food: Japanese in most cases. Love sushi, love udon, love teppanyaki, and so on.

Game: Deus Ex.

TV: Arrested Development, Futurama, Colbert Report, Mythbusters, Planet Earth, Firefly, Seinfeld, and Look Around You.

Anime: Ghost in the Shell (Stand Alone Complex and 2nd Gig), Paranoia Agent, Death Note, Excel Saga, and Fullmetal Panic: FUMOFFU.

The six things I could never do without

1. A clock.

2. The Internet.

3. A gaming-capable computer.

4. Classical music.

5. Hot tea.

6. A comfortable bed.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The future. I'm a Transhumanist by definition so my thoughts often linger on nanotechnology, biotechnology, and things in that vein. (Not to mention the inevitable future war between the 'haves' and 'have nots' of technologies like cyberization, roboticization, and so on.)

And how to properly lay siege to a fortification.

On a typical Friday night I am

At home playing a game, watching a movie, and surfing the internet. (All at the same time. Dual monitors are a godsend.)

I'm something of a hermit if you couldn't already tell. Maybe it's a byproduct of working for Halloween Horror Nights. Who knows.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I've broken my left arm twice and have two awful scars and titanium plates on my radius and ulna.

I'm also quite shy around new people I think are worth talking to, despite my confident and aloof nature. (So even if I found someone on here I'd probably be too much of a sissy to message them. :/)

You should message me if

You're a gamer.

You're artistic.

You enjoy intelligent, uncompromising conversation.

You have a dark sense of humor.

You think you know more about Resident Evil or Deus Ex than I do.

You're prepared for the zombie apocalypse.

You're a Professional and you have Standards.

You're Prepared for the Future.

You have a Stand Alone Complex.

You love Corgis.

You know what 'Deus Vult!' means without Googling it.

You know what a capped ram, trebuchet, and Greek Fire are.

In a fight between humanity and the machines, you'd root for the machines.

And really, you should message me if this ad even piques your interest in the slightest. The information presented here is nothing but a series of fishhooks; if you want an accurate, realistic idea of who I am just go ahead and message me. I reply to almost every one I get and am always unfailingly polite. :D
