Literature:
The Picture of Dorian Gray, Songs of Innocence & Experience, The Trial, Baudelaire, Rimbaud, Verlaine, Anais Nin, and several non-fiction works on subjects ranging from history to music theory to mysticism to botany.

Matinee:
Gosford Park, Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, Performance, Altered States, Hitchcock, Musical and Historical documentaries. French new wave. A heightened sense of affection for 60s and 70s cinema.

Musical Composition:
The Zombies, Small Faces, Rolling Stones, Love, Fairport Convention, Pentangle, John Cale, Flying Burrito Brothers, David Bowie, My Bloody Valentine, Fleetwood Mac, Slowdive, The Smiths, New York Dolls, Kraftwerk, Can, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Byrds, Gary Numan, Sonic Youth, Hawkwind, most sunshine pop. Any musique concrete (see Beatles "Revolution #9 for an introduction).

Gourmet:
Wines, Heirloom Tomatoes, Most Mediterranean Cuisine. Most Indian Cuisine. Dandelions, burdock roots, cattails. Cloves of garlic for warding off vampires. Fresh, local, organic is highly preferred. But I have to try everything at least once. I once tried to eat the heart of buffalo. That is to say, robust and primal culinary experiences revitalize the soul.

Poetry (typed on the page and scribbled in life), Refreshing excursions into the countryside, a variety of music, taste, and colour. Mineral water. Intimate companions. Museums.

Alternately, the heavier, darker aspects of the human condition and the pleasantry of aesthetics and youth.
Excruciating etiquette vs. folksy romanticism. (I'm not sure if that is a realistic debate, a non sequitur, or an unrealistic pipe dream -- and I've no concern to pursue any answers at the moment... and anyway my teakettle is whistling)

Writing memoirs by candlelight, imbibing absinthe at a nearby parlour, engaging in banter with lightweights, seducing ladies, or engaging in hearty sport with the fellows.

Discretion is of my utmost advantage.

You can recommend a good butler, chauffeur, or tailor. You are a polo or fox hunt enthusiast. You are a member of any elitist intelligentsia. Someone to go on holiday with.
