Hello.....My name is Ed. Don't let the nickname fool you, it is not how it might sound. It is just an online screen name I have used for many years. I am looking forward to meeting new pals here on OkCupid, in whatever form they develop. Describing one's self in these things is kinda one-sided. How you see yourself isn't necessarily what someone sees in you. Having said that, I try to maintain a balance in my life. Trying to stay happy, but understanding that life's stressful situations can bring out the best in you. I absolutely loath arguing and prefer a compromise from both sides when possible. Sometimes, I may seem like I don't want to make a decision on things right away, but I feel it is due to may analytical nature. Trying to see all sides of a situation to make the best informed decision as possible. Being analytical, I think has helped me better understand how other people feel and thus, allows me to be more compassionate of other people's feelings and challenges in life.

Playing games that have some sense of competition...Board, video, computer, and roleplaying games. Writing and Art...or so I would like to think so. Using my imagination. Using computers. Making Pizza....No, not the frozen kind. Grilling. Being attentive and giving unbiased advice. Being a dependable friend. Being handy with mechanical things.

My off the wall quirky humor. Sometimes, I am quiet which can be mistaken for being depressed or a bad mood... and for me, it doesn't mean that...just quiet. If there is a problem, I'll tell you. The desire to make other people happy and enjoy life with those that are close to me.

(A) Not a big reader but when I do read it is more fantasy based novels like: I, Strahd; Vampire of the Mists; Knight of the Black Rose; Elminister series. (B) By far, I watch primarily action movies like: Chronicles of Riddick; Fast and the Furious; Terminator; Underworld I & II. Suspense and Drama include: Master and Commander; Braveheart; Gladiator; LOTR; Mr. Frost; 13th Warrior; Conan the Barbarian; End of Days; and yes ladies, I have even been known to watch the tear jerking love stories and actually enjoy them!(AKA Chick Flix :-P) (C) My music has grown and evolved over the years, so I have pretty eclectic taste. I enjoy just about everything from Classical to Metal to the various sub-genres of Dance, with Metal being the one I listen to the most. (D) Favorite foods include: Pizza & beer, steak & crab legs, Chinese, Italian, and Mexican cuisine. I will try new things from time to time as well.

1) Red meat...I am a total carnivore. But I respect those that prefer bunny food:-P 2) The essentials to sustain life....air, food (did I meantion red meat?), water, a roof over my head, and a place to sleep. 3) Family and close friends. 4) My computer. 5) My brain...but more specifically, my imagination. 6) My writing hobby.
