Hello there! My name is Stephen. I'm a huge nerd. And tall. Yeah. I have an all too frequent habit of writing in a pompous manner, so I had to throw out my old summary. It made me sound like a douche when I reread it just now. So yeah. Big dork, lover of books, movies, and games(pen and paper, board, and video). I love to discuss just about anything and frequently ramble. I work hard, I play conservatively, and I just keep a good outlook on life. I work as an electrician in the film industry. The work can be annoyingly intermittent at times, but I love being able to work outside and that every day is different. There is always so much to learn on set and I appreciate the twelve plus hour days. On weekends or between gigs I often find myself playing tabletop rpgs or computer games, heading to the bar with friends, or just sleeping in late...well, till 8 am... with my cat purring nearby.

My height is always the first thing people notice here. Always. I feel like Gulliver among the lilliputians.

Oh man, this is always such a kicker of a category to fill out, because I inevitably forget about half of the things I love.

Books: Dune(my favorite novel ever), Foundation series, Anything by Dan Simmons particularly Hyperion and its 3 sequels, The Kingkiller Chronicle, Hitchhikers Guide, Harry Potter

Movies: Kikujiro, Stray Dog, The Fall, Seven Samurai, Tron and Tron Legacy, any of the Muppet movies, Gattaca, Troll Hunter, Fifth Element, Yakuza Papers(Battles without honor or humanity), Scott Pilgrim, Star Wars

Shows: Breaking Bad(and I work on it!), 30 Rock, Community, Archer, Bob's Burgers, Top Gear, Suburgatory, Modern Family, Doctor Who, Freaks and Geeks, Transformers(various series), GI Joe(various series) Futurama, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Samurai Champloo, Tsukihime, Gungrave, Ouran HSHC(It's an awesome parody, okay!)

Music: I have never shared musical tastes with anyone I've gone on a date with. Why even try? It's broad though, and I only powerfully dislike twangy pop-country and thug rap

Food: Cheesecake(I learned to make it because I love it so much, but I prefer to claim it's because everyone else loves it too), Sushi, Spicy Food, Street Food, Mussels, Steak, Ice Cream, Bulgogi, Fish and chips, and you know what? This list would go on way too long. My policy on food is I will try anything twice, preferably some months apart so I can get a fresh take on it.

I'm totally going to ignore the obvious like friends and family. Come now, you want to learn about me not hear canned answer, right?

Often times still at work till 2am, sometimes even till the sun comes up.

I am terrified of dogs. Many of my friends and coworkers have no idea about it unless I've told them, as I am quite cool and friendly with the critters. Truth be told, I like dogs, but I was attacked by one when I was younger. Just because you fear something doesn't mean you have to show it, I let the fear fuel a "preparedness" in case a dog goes ape-shit, and I go about my business and give them ear scratches if they seem friendly.
