My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've learned what I want in a partner and what I don't, and there are some important things I'm not willing to forego. Please scroll down to "You should message me if..."

My motivation is to always learn, and generally to be the best friend, partner, family member, and clinician possible. I'm quite independent, and enjoying the company of others is how I recharge. It's worth looking up my Meyers Briggs type; I am ESFP or ENFP.

I spend a lot of time working toward my goal of becoming a physical therapist. In the past when I had more free time, I tended to be more self-reflective. The way I generally see things, life is like a series of concentric circles. In the center is the individual, outside the individual is the family and closest friends. Further out, coworkers and acquaintances, and beyond that everyone and everything else. In order to truly be good to those around you, start strengthening in the middle and work your way out from there.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm living in an amazing 50-person student cooperative house. I have a very strong community and am always happy to expand it.

I've taught and tutored International Students for 2 years and just started a physical therapy aide position. I'm also finishing up prerecs for physical therapy school and applying to schools in the Bay Area.

I try to think of it the way Rumi says it: "Let the beauty you love be what you do. There are a thousand ways to kneel and kiss the earth."
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
-being an extrovert (for better or worse...)
-reading others' emotions, intentions, and challenges. Then championing them and earnestly offering them what I've learned so that they can be closer to success in what it is they want or need. I.E.: teaching.
-loving my friends and family!

I LOVE the following things:
cycling, yoga, some forms of art, some forms of dance, being active outdoors, ceramics, making/eating healthy food
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Pshh, that depends on what they're looking for.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Cutting for Stone, Vonnegut, Jhumpa Lahiri, some Hemingway, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, The Orphan Master's Son, etc.

Movies: Thought-provoking and emotive ones. Good dramas. I Am, What Dreams May Come, Argo, Amelie, "A Better World" (Danish Hævnen), The Consequences of Love (Le Conseguenze dell'amore).

Shows: Let me sum this up by saying I don't know how to turn on the tv in my house. I've watched and loved all of Firefly though, and have a hard time leaving the room if Jon Stewart is on.

Music: There's a time and a place to enjoy any type of music! I have a real soft spot for bluegrass and choral music...

Food: fresh, local, balanced, and creative. I have a lot of farmer friends, so I eat really well. Mostly vegetarian.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-meaningfully connecting with people or animals
-my twin sister
-a physical/meditative practice
-an open mind
-varied, healthy, and thoughtfully grown/prepared food
-some type of physical activity or release
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
-My classes!
-Conflict resolution. How to be a better teacher/really reach people.
-Efficiency and organization.
-Posture and overall bodily and mental health.
-Self reflection. What have I learned recently and how has it changed my actions? What was I doing before? Was there something I ought to have shared with someone that would make them happier, even if it was just a smile along the bike path?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out with friends at the coop or at a dinner party.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've made grammatical corrections to smut on the bathroom wall!
