My Self-Summary
Hey there. I'm an avid reader and political junky. I can spend an
entire Sunday morning watching one political news show after
another, only to look up and realize it's noon. My favorite city to
visit is Washington D.C. Whether it's
for work or pleasure, I can lose myself there every time.
What I’m doing with my life
I changed careers a couple of years ago and now spend my work life
advocating and
lobbying at the state level. I work on what some might perceive as
controversial issues, so am constantly challenged to keep my work
in perspective with the rest of my life.
I’m really good at
... being a good friend and understanding how other people feel.
I'm also a good cook. I'm good at finding sweet parking spots and
knowing an unnecessary amount of detail about local parking rules
(my friends call me lovely Rita Meter Maid). I love to sing (but
can't objectively say if I'm good at it since it's mostly something
I do in the car with the windows rolled up).
