Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Laughing is very important, in fact it's no laughing matter.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I build my own brand of vintage inspired electric guitars for a
living. It's an interesting line to be in, satisfying from a
craftsmanly standpoint and certainly presents plenty of peculiar
problem solving opportunities, not to mention I do the work out of
my basement workshop where I listen to hours and hours of NPR/WNYC
While building guitars puts a roof over my head, it's playing and
writing music that really sustains me. I play various instruments
in a few bands and have thrown myself into the world of recording
lately in an effort to turn my passion into a viable living.
Outside of that I care a great deal about cooking...and olive
oil...and cumin seeds. Despite the limitations of a conventional
home oven I make a pretty compelling pizza.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm really good at conveying the impression that I can read and
write. I can do neither, but through an astounding series of freak
coincidences and sheer dumb luck, my fumbling on the keyboard and
vocal responses happen to very closely resemble comprehension of
the English language. It's miraculous really.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People usually notice me in a police line up when they're
identifying their assailant. That's actually how most of my
relationships have begun.

Limiting the list to music, I think the Beatles and Radiohead have
produced the most important music of the past fifty years.
Specifically the albums Revolver and Kid A respectively are their
strongest in my opinion. Can't forget to mention Mozart's Requiem
though, and Wagner's Gotterdammerung is pretty powerful.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My 120 ft yacht "Excelsiorus Rex"
2. The staff of ten who cater to my capricious whims and take care
of the day to day tasks aboard said yacht.
3. My precious collection of Gutenberg Bibles, some of which have
been autographed by Steve "The Bible" Guttenberg.
I could do without all other things.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The world is a fascinatingly peculiar place, just riddled with all
sorts of compelling weirdness. The very fact that the little
squiggly lines I'm typing at this moment mean anything recognizable
to another person is just one example of how wonderfully odd and
interesting things are, and it's in this head-space I typically
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Generally on Fridays I'm working on my tunnel to the center of the
Earth. I've gotten really far at this point! I'd say I've probably
dug down a good six feet or so which is really impressive right?! I
know! Thank you!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
