My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I hail from the West Midlands but have lived in London for just over 5 years now.

I have a BSc and an MA and studied part of my degree in Colorado so I adore heading back to the States to visit friends. Brooklyn, NY is one of my favorite places and believe it or not, I watch American Football and stay up to watch the Super Bowl every year which usually involves lots of aggressive man-like shouting at the TV.

I work as a catering coordinator for a private jet company (which means I basically arrange whatever food people want to eat and so far, what I've learnt is the world is pretty fond of chicken nuggets and haribo).

My long term goal is to be a fully fledged food writer, I write for my own website and have a pretty decent Twitter following.

I'm a foodie, love to cook for friends, try new restaurants and to taste the culture whenever I go travelling. And yes, I'm Asian and a foodie so doubly so, I like to take pics of my food and post them on Twitter.

I enjoy art galleries, (especially fashion photography - I wanted to be a designer when I was a kid), love the V&A and Somerset House, live music, street food and markets, swimming, Wimbledon, a night in with Netflix and the cinema a lot. I am addicted to seeing what film makers are doing and how they are pushing the boundaries of expectation.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Last year I left the world of Michelin restaurants for the private aviation industry (75 hour working week in hospitality is not fun). It's been a long awaited career change that has finally allowed me to enjoy life a bit more!

I tried surfing in Hong Kong which was amazing, would love to get the hang of it!

Collecting stamps in my passport. There is nothing more gratifying than seeing a passport full of ink prints.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cooking. Just wait till you've tasted Lou's signature menu.

Making people laugh. If tears come to your eyes as you're laughing, I am officially the funniest person in the room - Fact.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
How approachable I am. I'm easy to talk to. Or that I'm Chinese haha.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Right now I'm enjoying:
Books: Anthony Bourdain, Charles Bukowski, Hunter S. Thompson, but I like the classics as well such as Austen, Bronte and Twain.

Movies: Favourite movie of all time is Some Like It Hot (an absolute classic), but I love directors like Tarantino, the Coen brothers, Scorsese and David O. Russell. Some utterly brilliant films I watched recently were Nightcrawler, Birdman and Whiplash.

TV shows: House of Cards, Breaking Bad, Dexter (until they destroyed it with last episode), True Blood, White Collar, Arrested Development, The Mindy Project, Girls, Supernatural, Mad Men and of course, all manner of life's situations may be related to a Family Guy or American Dad skit.

Music: A bit of everything, but I mostly like rock, punk, folk and after a recent trip to New Orleans I am obsessed with jazz and blues lately.

Food: Chinese (nothing beats home cooking) though having worked in the restaurant industry I have a very diverse palate. It's my belief to try everything at least once.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My passport
My friends
My tastebuds
Dim Sum
My big fluffy duvet and cuddles under it
A mug of tea - any and all!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where my next passport stamp will come from.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I used to work every Friday night, now, the world is my oyster!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't like to wear pyjamas. Trousers in bed are a weird thing.

My ultimate guilty TV pleasure is Extreme Fishing with Robson Green - don't know why, l but I love it (I think I'm just jealous of his travels).
