My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a quirky native Austin-ite, who recently uprooted my life to move for work to Eugene, OR. I visited the pacific northwest last year for a weekend and fell in love, I knew I had to move here. I really just want to meet some fun people. I am pretty independent, so moving away wasn't hard, but I'd still like to make some friends in my new town. I like books and crafts, tv and movies, going out or staying in. I love my family and friends, and I love hanging out with them, but I also like just hang out at home with a good book (particularly these days since all of them are in Texas). I am not very good at small talk or idle chatter, but if you ask interesting questions I usually have interesting answers.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Well this is a stupid open ended question and I don't like it. I am not going to answer it. I am doing whatever I want to with my life. thank you very much!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Drawing, crafts, and giving an honest opinion when asked.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My hair, I have big hair and I usually don't try to tame it these days. I guess some people may refer to it as "Texas hair". I am usually pretty quiet the first time I meet people (I like to sit back and observe), so sometimes people think I am unfriendly, but I promise I am not. I am just not good at making small talk.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Ok, so this is kind of an embarrassing topic for me, only because I feel like people judge you on the types of books and movies you watch. I LOVE Harry Potter. I am sorry, I am always going to compare you to Neville Longbottom, he is my hero. So if you want to impress, go read a few books (there are seven, and yes, you need to read all of them). I also read other things too though. I really will read just about anything, science fiction, mystery, non-fiction, as long as it interests me in some way I'll probably enjoy it. The only thing I don't read is horror (same goes for movies) they terrify me. I'll have all the lights on at night for a week.

Besides that, I also love watching tv shows, I am not really into movies, just because i like having something to watch for several days (because who doesn't just watch an entire season in a day and a half if they have the time??? Oh, I am the only one....well this is embarrassing.) Some favorites...Game of Thrones, Lost, The Office, Bones, Criminal Minds, Friends, Sex and the City, Big Bang Theory, Downton Abby, just to name a few. As for movies, I love When Harry Met Sally, all the American Pie movies (which my friends find hilarious since that is totally not my usual genre of movies). All Disney movies, they just can't make a bad movie...Forest Gump, Grease, Hairspray, Gigi.

I like any music except heavy metal, it hurts my head.

All food is good. I am not super into spicy, which is weird since I am from Texas, but whatevs.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My Family and Friends
A craft of some kind
Taco Cabana (I am still looking for a good Tex-Mex replacement up here)
Soda (I know that is awful, I am constantly trying to replace it with water)
Oh, and Barnie, my one eyed cat.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What craft project to work on next, or what book to read next, or what my outfit is going to be for whatever I have coming up. And what I am going to eat for dinner. I love food, cooking it, eating it, shopping for it. Grocery stores are one of my favorite places to go.

I am sure I should put something profound here, like I think about world hunger and the state of our planet, but I only think about that some of the time. Probably not as much as I should.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It totally varies. There is no typical Friday night for me. Sometimes I'll go out with my girlfriends and we'll dance the night away, sometimes I'll stay home and knit an entire hat while watching a few episodes of Gossip Girl on Netflix. Sometimes I make dinner for my neighbor and we drink wine while discussing our weeks, it just depends.

you are going to say something other than "Hey, you are cute" Thank you for the compliment, but I need something to work with, and that just won't do. If you want to actually get to know me, I am not here for a casual hook up, pass.

If you are fun, with a slightly sarcastic sense of humor. Or if you are just a nice genuine person.
