I am a really nice easy going 6’1” average guy. I have been married
in the past and have two older daughters in their twenties. I was
born into a large family and have 7 siblings. My Father and Mother
were very hard working parents and had to be fairly strict with all
of us. Because of that and the values they instilled in us make me
the person I am today. Now I was not a perfect kid by any means. I
was the only sibling with a nick name in the family. Maybe I will
tell you… I was a very industrious person growing up. I don’t
remember ever having any obstacles in my way except for not paying
attention in grade school or high school. Now that does not sound
very good. But actually, I did absorb more than I thought (more
later). I entered a technical college and soon after I enlisted
into the Air Force. I was a teen during the Vietnam Era and with a
high draft number I still enlisted. I found the Air Force to be to
this day one of the most important things I have done in my life.
It was easy for me to adapt to their ways since I was from a large
family. I was able to travel around North America and Asia and did
not just stay on the bases. I was out around the people where I
learned, did and saw more than 90% of humans get to. I guess I
could go in for hours but I will leave that for another time. I
came out of the Service and started working for a large computer
company, IBM. Computers were unknown to most people at that time
and I was lucky enough to work for the best. I learned and absorbed
everything I could. Time passed and I married and moved to South
Carolina, went to college at night and graduated one of the top in
my class. Now you may understand why I said I did absorb more than
I thought I did in high school. I helped raise 2 young bright
daughters and was fortunate enough to start my own company and
learn to grow and fail doing so. I said fail! Yes sometimes we need
to fail in order to understand where we are and what we are doing
in life. I did learn a lot during those years and now I can say I
have one of the best jobs where I can utilize all of my skills.
Failing in my past helps me to help others not to fail. I really
enjoy what I do and also enjoy my life and all that is around and
in it. We are not here forever as you know. I found this out the
hard way when my best friend died when I was 13 yrs old. My best
friend was my Grandfather. At his funeral service the sermon was
about where we will be once we leave this world. I felt at ease and
knew my Grandfather was in a better place and I may get to be with
him again. There is more about all of this but I know there is time
for all of that later. I want to share this remaining time with
someone that wants to share it with me. Are you that person?
What I’m doing with my life
Enjoying the work I do and being the best at it. I enjoy educating
younger people to progress in life and hopefully spending my life
with a loving woman that loves and understands me for who I am.
Walking my Bichon Frise and keeping active, biking when my tires
have air in them, looking at my ice skates I have had since I was
younger and keeping them sharp, working in my yard when it needs
me, and spending time with my friends when we can.
I’m really good at
I feel I am pretty good at many things. But I am really good with
repairing just about anything, now listen, I do not want to just be
your personal handy-man. I am really good at opening your door when
we go out. I am really good at many other things but you will just
have to find out.
The first things people usually notice about me
I guess my Gray/White hair. Ha Ha… I feel people notice I am an
honest, kind, loving, intelligent, articulate, funny and fun guy.
These things I feel are really who I am.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love Sci-Fi, instruction, Geek/Tech books and Audio Books. Of
course Sci-Fi, Funny, and the 3D Kids movies we take our Grandkids
to! I have gone to shows in Las Vegas and enjoyed most of them. I
like all kinds of music. I keep an open mind on music which I love
to listen to. I do not like all the vulgar language used in some so
called music. I do like just about all foods. However I really do
not like translucent seaweed! Really!! Oh greasy and most fried
foods do not appeal to me. (I do love southern fried chicken
though!) I love home cooking and like to go out to places that
prepare good food. I like to help (if you want me to) cook. I do
have a Big Green Egg and can grill a great steak! That is if I can
find some good meat here in South Carolina! Let me share my spatula
The six things I could never do without
My Honor and Beliefs
A Loving partner to share the love I have. I want to think about
you all the time!
My Children and my grandkids neither of them have (yet)
Sounds, Smells and the Sights
My tools, computer and phone of course…
I spend a lot of time thinking about
That one all important invention I will invent.
Spend a lot of time thinking of You! Well if you are that
You, the women I will love until the end of my time, not a mother
but a loving partner.
On a typical Friday night I am
Relaxing, may be cooking out or going out to dinner for something
delightful. With either I would enjoying a glass of wine, a beer or
martini. Might watch a movie or pick something from the tivo/dvr.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Well if I have to, My nickname my siblings gave me is “Critter”
You should message me if
You’re someone that thinks they may enjoy meeting me. A non-smoking
single woman that takes steps to keep their self in shape and not
just letting things go. Understanding that eating properly most of
the time will help keep you healthy and better able to stay fit. I
own ice skates, bicycles, love to swim, and think going to the gym
and/or being active are good things. Are you looking for an honest,
kind, loving, intelligent, articulate, funny and fun guy then
please message me.
