My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Brought up in Lynnwood while Chris Wedes and Bob Newman were on TV 11 times a week. (BTW .. if you are local, you'll know who they are). I've lived in Texas, Florida and Rhode Island .. but back in Seattle since 1992. 2 kids, 4 grandkids (all in Spokane). Good job, but involves lots of travel.
I live a simple life .. very few "things" but would like someone to share life with.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
fly, teach, fly, teach .. oops. that's not my life, that's my job. Life ... keep in shape cause life feels better. I have a sweet road bike. My first purchase after my divorce (in 2007) was a piano. I like doing.
I like warmer places .. sandy beaches, a good book a cold drink and a smile. I donate blood/platlets a lot ... just found my 100 donation plaque at the Puget Sound Blood Center.
I've played at open mic nights .. I suspect I enjoyed it more than the listeners, but there you go.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
This feels weird to talk about things I'm good at. I learned long ago that I'm not good at promoting myself. Comes across conceited rather than confident. But ... I am a good teacher. I can take complex topics and connect them to things you know so that you understand a new idea.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I read lots of books .. some just entertainment, others history. Just finished a book about falacies about what we think we know about the constitution.
Movies ... romance movies. Love Actually is on as I type this.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I like being active. I have a couple of nice bikes .. my condo has a pool and a gym and Myrtle Edwards park and the path along the water is only a 2 minute run away.
Fresh oysters from Pike Place
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How soon I can quit working .. and what I'll do then. volunteer somewhere?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
If I'm in town, and after the party at work (almost every Friday), go home, get a bite, and walk to Hula Hula to try some Karaoke with Mickey Valentine.
