I am Honest, Optimistic, and Quirky.
My Self-Summary
Allo allo! I figured it wouldn't hurt to make an OK Cupid account
seeing as there are some pretty awesome people here that I already
know...and I -do- like meeting new people. ALSO...I don't want to
seem like a bitch but I really am not here for casual random hook
ups. I just don't do that. I'm here to meet people and make
-friends-. Don't assume I'm going to put out and if you're going to
talk to me with that mindset in place...please do not bother.
What I’m doing with my life
Currently working a nice job in the medical field that I love...as
much as it makes me want to tear the hair out of my head. Have to
love Triage, hm? Planning on going back to school for microbiology
and forensics but that might take a while. At least a year, if I
want to do it correctly.
Right now I'm also trying to get out of my bubble called Rhode
Island. I'm planning on hiking across Europe at some point. I love
being outdoors and, sadly, there's not too much of that around
here. I'll settle for hiking around the hills in Providence. I
guess that'll do for the time being.
I’m really good at
Reading, costuming, dancing, meditating, writing, drawing, acting,
LARPing, swimming, roleplaying, even more dancing, seeing both
sides in a conversation, drinking mass quantities of coffee, baking
things that should never see the light of day, not sleeping,
drinking mass quantities of alcohol, debating, being redundent,
generally being active, trying new things, jogging, hiking,
exploring, hunting zombies... modifying nerf guns...All very useful
skills, haha.
The first things people usually notice about me
Not really sure. Given a head shot, people say it's my eyes. Given
a body shot, people say that I look like an anime character. I
really hate being called that...
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I pretty much like almost any book thrown my way. Since I'm a speed
reader, I tend to finish them all pretty quickly. I am a sucker for
Jane Austin, HP Lovecraft, Raymond Feist, Clive Barker, Georgette
Heyer and Orson Scott Card, though. Dune...um...wow, I really like
too many books. The Game of Thrones series stole my
heart...However, I will admit as well that my favorite books are I
Never Promised you a Rose Garden, Pride and Prejudice, and 1984.
The six things I could never do without
1. Coffee 2. Coffee 3. Chocolate 4. My family 5. Coffee 6.
Costumes
No...seriously...
1. Family
2. Friends
3. A way to express myself
4. Coffee
5. A really damn good book
6. Zombie-kicking combat boots
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Daydreaming about random things and things that have nothing to do
with the conversation I might be holding. Bad habit.
What my next step in life is or should be...Living for the sake of
the moment gets dull real fast. Not that I'm opposed to having
spontaneous moments. Those are pretty much the best parts of
life...you just have to have goals, people!
I'm my own best match according to this site. Maybe it's that way
for everyone's profile, but I get the idea that I'm supposed to end
up a happy spinster. Yaaay....
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably getting drunk and/or dancing with my friends. Sometimes, I
fight off
zombies
with my friends.
Occassionally, I'm up in Connecticut dressed up in an odd costume
and being hit with nerf darts and/or boffer weapons while running
through prickly bushes in the middle of a forest. It's also usually
raining because it always rains when I camp.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I worked at a Fetish Convention before. Handed out pamphlets and
spent the rest of the weekend just running around and having fun
talking to everyone attending. Was lots of fun and pretty
spontaneous!
I don't, in fact, know everything. It's a fact that saddens me. Do
not mistake my not knowing of something for stupidity. There's
probably a damn good chance that I'm already planning to go home
and start researching it.
I'm disgustingly picky and dislike pity plays and guilt trips. I
don't play those games.
You should message me if
You want to. I don't bite...I'm mostly bark unless provoked.
However, don't message me if you're only trying to hook up for a
night stand. I'm not interested. At all.
Don't message me if you cannot type correctly. Typos are fine (If
you're drunk, particularly), but at least make it look like you
made an effort. I'd like to think I'm worth at least a spell
check...
You're particularly awesome. I'm in need of some awesome in my life
right now. Nerds that like to have debates about ridiculous things
and have information about obscure and equally awesome things .....
I -demand- you message me at once and let me pick apart your brain.
<3
You can read my mind and know that I want to talk to you. I'm
rather awkward when comes to being the first one to talk...so being
able to read my mind is a plus. Go ahead. Message me.
