Hey! I'm Jerome, an Irish/Swedish/Norwegian guy who moved to Los Angeles from the midwest to pursue a career in film.

I have one sister and a hueg family back home in Minnesota who I still stay really close with. I'm just a nice guy from the midwest, who moved out here chasing a dream and was fortunate enough to make it into an amazing film program.

I graduated from USC two years back with a Bachelor's degree in Cinema Production which was pretty exciting.

Since then I have been freelancing as a jack-of-all-cinematic-trades (definitely master of none), doing a variety of on-set and office work in the industry. I spent most of the last year at a visual FX house working on 3D conversions which was a lot of fun.

Writing has always been my passion. I was part of the writing staff on a TV drama pilot which was produced recently which I greatly enjoyed. It's currently playing at festivals in New York and I really hope it gets picked up!

Things I enjoy doing include watching movies and plays, going to concerts, butchering the classics at karaoke, playing pool and darts, board games, volunteering at animal rescues, bowling, exploring the city, having adventures, cooking Indian food, reading books and comics (Sandman and Preacher especially, Fables and The Boys most recently), stargazing, and wandering the beach.

I love all things movie-related: writing them, making them, watching them, discussing them. I'm learning the craft of screenwriting and working hard to become an accomplished director. Favorite films include Big Lebowski, Fear and Loathing, Leon: the Professional, Ichi the Killer, Requiem For a Dream, True Romance, Memento, House of Sand and Fog, Dogville.

I enjoy all sorts of ethnic food, especially Indian and Thai (I could cook some mean curry once, I need to get back into the game...) Hot dogs are my guilty pleasure, I live within walking distance of Pink's and am known to grab an Oki Dog whenever the spirit moves me. Mongolian Barbecue rocks my world. Not a big fan of fish.

My favorite authors include Charles de Lint, Vonnegut, Stephen King, Hemingway, Hunter S. Thompson, Neil Gaiman, Dickens, Jack Ketchum, James Cain, William Golding, Jim Thompson, the Brontë sisters.

I love music of all sorts as well, and enjoy catching a good show whenever I can (Weezer was the last concert I went to). I really enjoy ethnic and folk punk in particular, and am quite partial to indie as well. <3 the Decemberists, Billy Bragg, Matt and Kim, The Libertines, Good Shoes, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Ghost Mice, Mischief Brew, Ratatat, Flogging Molly, Japanther, The Hold Steady, Mountain Goats, Tiny Masters of Today, Of Montreal, Neutral Milk Hotel, Flaming Lips, Kimya Dawson etc.
