My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I will start here.... I am Scott. I like a ton of different things and am a bit of a dork/nerd/whatever you want to call it. I'm from SoCal (aka Southern California). I listen to tons of different kinds of music, favorite bands include (but are not limited to) Blink 182, Frank Sinatra, and Reel Big Fish. I am a huge movie person, I prefer old movies and love to watch my old movies a lot. I can't event begin to narrow down favorites. I love Mexican Food. I love cartoons for some weird reason. I can be extremely loud and random, also very quiet depending on the day and situation. I love to travel. I like making obscure references that few people understand. I die a little inside when Mufasa dies in The Lion King. I am very very protective of friends and family. I have a slightly bum knee (had ACL reconstruction a few years ago). I don't understand people just being straight up mean to others (yet my friends and I jokingly make mean comments to each other quite frequently). I am a writer for a television series, which basically means I can ramble on typing for a really long time, and that's pretty much what's happened here.

Feel free to message me with questions, I am a really open person and am willing to answer any questions you have :)
Seriously, just ask! I don't bite =P
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am a wandering soul trying to find my way in the world.
So here is the long way of saying what I do:
I am a professional writer. I am also an entrepreneur. Looking at opening up my own business in the next year.
I am also a freelance Script Supervisor.
Plus I also work in live theater.

It may seem like that's a lot and like I'd have no time, but I actually have a lot more time to spend on fun than you'd think.

All in all, I am taking life one day at a time, and keeping my chin up.
Cause really, isn't that all we can do?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

This would be an instance that most people my age don't understand the reference, but I don't care. Phineas and Ferb are awesome :)

I honestly don't know what I'm good at. I guess for this question I am good at finding long ways around answers to questions like "what are you good at" and "what is your best quality". That's a start.
I'm usually pretty good at getting people to be honest with me. It's frustrating to me that so many people feel the same kinds of emotions (depression, lonesomeness, and whatnot) yet society has told us to keep a smile on our face and act like it isn't happening. I like to tear that away and get to know the real person underneath. Nothing will feel good in life until you can fully admit what is wrong. :)

Also good at being there for people when they need it.
The first things people usually notice about me

I don't know. Possibly my hair? I grow my hair out when I can to donate to Locks of Love. I have a wild mane of hair that is sometimes unkempt, thus being noticeable.

Aside from that, I don't know.

If we meet, you can tell me :)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Through The Looking Glass, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, War of the Worlds, The Invisible Man, Brave New World, 1984

Movies is wayyyyyy to big a list to even begin putting on here. I like everything from Chick Flicks (I do enjoy The Notebook) to Sci-Fi (I'm a Star Wars nerd *pushes glasses up and inhales from inhaler* =P) to psychological thrillers (I LOVE Alfred Hitchcock). Basically I just love movies in general. If you know/have/like old movies MAJOR POINTS FOR YOU!!!!

Shows (theater): Anything Shakespeare, well done Pinter productions, Slaughter House 5 (just an odd show that struck a chord with me), of course Phantom, A Chorus Line, The Producers, Twelve Angry Men, Sweeney Todd, Waiting for Godot, Blithe Spirit, Deathtrap, Avenue Q, Chicago, Pippin, (thanks to Utah Shakespeare Festival and the Executive Director for convincing me to see it) Peter and the Star Catcher. The list goes on, but if you are truly interested we can talk about that sometime

Shows (Television): Psych, Futurama, Spongebob, Phineas and Ferb, Through The Wormhole with Morgan Freeman, The Mentalist, The X-Files, Twin Peaks. I'm kind of picky sometimes, other times I am not. I have more favorites, if you'd like to know ask.

Music: Pop-punk and Ska are hands down my favorite genres. Favorite bands are Blink 182 and Reel Big Fish. BUT I listen to pretty much anything. I love classical and classical style music. I love pop, rap, r&b, punk, techno, opera, musicals, etc.

Food: I'm kinda picky/not really. For instance: I don't like lettuce on my taco's but don't mind it on my burgers.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I'll give you some answers, and if you like you can ask why I couldn't do without them. Some may have different reasons than you think. (These answers are not including necessities like air, water, a pulse, etc. or obvious things like family, friends, car, etc.)

Why do girls wanna pierce their nose? And walk around in torn pantyhose? (random references anyone? anyone? no just me? Ok....)
How does this work? (I often pick up random things or stop places and get curious as to how exactly it works or imagine how it came to be.)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Typical isn't really a word I use much. I lead an interesting life. I am very very glad I don't have a "usual" or "mundane" weekly schedule. I do have things that I do on a fairly regular basis though, just not on a Friday Nights I.... or Tuesdays is BINGO night... :P (examples of things I do regularly being: playing uke, sitting with a nice cup of coffee or tea and people watching, taking walks, sitting down with the elderly and gleaning knowledge from them, etc.)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am an open book. I am open to all questions.
I will give you a random piece though (if I have too =P )
I have five tattoo's. My first is a Claddagh that stands for love, loyalty, and friendship. I have a cross on my back that over time will be filled in. I have tic-tac-toe on my back and so does the rest of my immediate family (humor is a godsend that has gotten us through some rough times and the tic-tac-toe game is a representation of that). And I also have the word "Sunshine" with two hills and a sun on the bottom of my foot (so no matter how down and out I feel I can remind myself it can't be that bad, I'm still walking on sunshine).
Also I am Christian and not LDS (one of the dirst questions always asked when people find out I live in UT)

Like I said though, I am an open book. If you have a question, just ask :)
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You find anything you have read to be interesting
You feel like saying hi (please say something more than that though.... nothing bugs me more than a message that says "hi", kind of the wrong foot to start on with me)
You have an irrational fear of not messaging people
You are NOT a hater!
You feel like it
You think we have something in common you would to share
You actually took the time to read all the way down to this because at this point I am just seeing how long I can type and make you keep reading this. It is thoroughly entertaining to me at this moment to think about you sitting in front of your computer reading about how I'm thinking about you.... even though I have never met you. So am I actually thinking about you? Or are you actually a figment of my imagination?

But for reals time! Message me if you would like to get to know me. Message me if you want to have a real conversation. I hope for honesty from people because I am nothing but honest with everyone else. I hope that you can see beyond what has often been described as "goofiness" and see that I am truly just a guy looking for something right in the world. I want nothing more than to meet people and see where things go.
