My Self-Summary

My friends describe me as smart, fun, ethical, generous, and attractive. I love cooking, riding my motorcycle, working out, and playing with my neighbor's dog. (My cat won't let me have a dog.) I'm lucky to have a profession that gives me plenty of freedom while I can still make a good living. I have liberal political leanings, love going to the movies, comedy clubs, or for walks in the redwoods.

I am drawn to the ocean, preferably one warm enough to swim in without a wet suit. I want to get back into scuba and to swim with dolphins in the wild. These are some longer-term fantasies of mine. It would be great to share all of that with someone special. Or just to spend the day at the Monterey Bay Aquarium together.

What I’m doing with my life

Riding my motorcycle! Highway 9, Santa Cruz, Highway 1, up to the Delta. Just loving it.

Also just got done with a kitchen remodel. Other than that, singing, working out, enjoying life.

I’m really good at

- Cooking and throwing dinner parties (though I make pretty bad cocktails)

- keeping up with just about any conversation

- understanding complex technical ideas

- kissing

- singing

- understanding animals

- appreciating a massage (and giving them too)

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Ugh -- too many to mention, plus I have a poor memory for this kind of stuff. Recently enjoyed "White Tiger" (winner of the 2008 Man Booker award). My musical tastes are highly eclectic. As to movies, I tend to like edgy comedies ("Hangover" was pretty good), thoughtful but not pedantic indie films ("Italian For Beginners" is a nice example), and action movies (it can be fun to watch things move fast and explode).
