So here's my dilemma. I'm a sweet Jewish doctor, everyone loves me
at work, and I have a best friend for whom I would take a bullet.
Additionally, I come from a good family, I keep in shape, and I am
knowledgeable about many different subjects. This is all true. Upon
discovering this, Jewish mothers typically fawn or faint or
both...ok that's not true, but it is in theory.
However...I have discovered that most girls do not care about these things.
It seems that most girls are only interested in someone who can convince them that he is NOT actually interested in them, even though he CLEARLY is. I thought this was weird, but when I tried it, it turned out to be true! The more I acted like I didn't like a girl, the more she liked me!
My first reaction was like, "really?? Are you serious?" But now I've learned two things: 1) Girls are strange and 2) I am not a girl, hence I will never understand them.
So back to my dilemma. I'm not that good at convincing someone who I'm really interested in that I'm NOT actually interested in her. I am quite confident that she WOULD in fact be interested in me once we get past the 'convincing her I'm not interested in her' stage, but since I don't like that stage, I have an annoying problem.
So here's what I'm doing about it. I like you. It's true. I think you're really pretty.
If you want me to pretend I don't like you, I can do that, because I know girls like that, but I'm not that good at it, and I just come across as a jerk, when really I'm a pretty sweet guy.
So if I email you, it means I like you. If you want to play the pretend I don't game, I'll do that for a couple of emails, and I'll tease you about it forever, but I'm not interested in girls who TRULY only want what they can't have. If this is you, please just kindly disregard my email and save us both the time.
