My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I’m an optimist, and tend to see life a little through rose colored glasses. I’m not a big believer in the term “I can’t”. I more try to see things from the “How can I?” perspective. It makes life a lot more fun to figure out on a day to day basis.

If you're walking around Philly, and happen to see some guy singing at the top if his lungs in the car, there is a good chance it's me. I'm a total car singer.

I’m very spontaneous. During the week I rarely have a plan I go by, and typically call around to various friends to see who is doing what. It’s like a mini daily adventure to try and figure out what to do, and with who. Keeps city life exciting. I love to hang out with people who can pick up and go at a moment’s notice.

I’m aspiring traveler. Visited France, Luxemburg, Belgium, and the Netherlands last year. I've been bitten by the bug and I can’t wait for my next trip.

I’m kind hearted, and have a tendency to be the friend others turn to for advice. I like being that person, and occasionally these talks give me some perspective on my own life and situation.
I’m a very social person, but when I’m home I have a like to lay low and relax with a good movie, or a good book, well…audiobook. Yup, I’m one of those people.

I’m a smartass, especially around friends. I love off-color humor and making bad jokes, typically at the expense of one of my friends.

I love to stay moving, and don't like to sit down very much. I love to run, bike and recently learned to swim. I decided to try to do a triathlon (training for it now) so learning to swim came with that decision. I’m also an adventure junkie, and volunteer as an adventure group leader in the city in my spare time. In the past couple of years I’ve driven a race car, flew a stunt plane (and promptly vomited once we landed), flew a few helicopters, and done the flying trapeze (which is amazing). I have a soft spot on my heart for circus folk, hence the flying trapeze adventure.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Loving living in the city. I love having so much at my fingertips. I grew up in the country (well, outside of Scranton) and never had a urban center to live around or in. I’ve lived downtown for 3 years, and I try to take advantage of the area by hitting the restaurants, visiting friends scattered throughout Philly, or just finding little day to day adventures to go on.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening, and when asked offering advice, or at least a different perspective. I love meeting new people, and being exposed to someone’s depth of experiences. I believe life is too short to stay cooped up in our own personal box.

Hmm…probably my nature. I have a tendency to be a kind person, as long as the person I’m talking to isn’t a complete ass. Next would probably be my laugh. Laughing is my favorite thing in the world to do. If at some point in the day I laughed so hard I was crying, it was probably a good day.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

My nerdy side comes out in my books. I love a good war novel or biography, and visited a pretty good amount of the places in Europe I had learned about in my reading. I have listened to audiobooks for a few years, and have read well over 100 at this point. I love 90’s music, and some current alt rock. But most of today’s music bores me, so I stick to my books. I love trying new restaurants in the city. I’m always looking to find a really awesome Thai place, or a hole on the wall that has great food. I will flock back to those places time and again.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My “things” aren’t material. After all, I can do without my cell phone; I just wouldn’t like it very much. A few things I really can’t live without are constant, and have remained in my life for a long time. My family and friends I couldn’t live without. My love of life and ambition to try new things and take risks is a part of me. My optimism and believing things can and will get better, even if they are really good now. If I need to add a sixth, I would say my non-conformist nature. I love living outside of the social box. After all, when someone says “you shouldn’t do that, they might get upset” Well, who are they, and why would they be upset? I believe in testing the social norm, which can get me into some trouble sometimes. If I may add a bonus “thing” the 7th would be adventure. I love to get my blood pumping. We all only live once, so live.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The next trip or adventure. Weekend plans. Meeting new people, food (I ‘m a foodie), Relaxing and falling asleep to a good book, Doing stand-up comedy, the next practical joke I can play on someone.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out doing god only knows what with god only knows who.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

Going back to the thinking out of the box perspective, I am a very open minded person, and have a wide range of friends. I firmly believe in doing whatever makes you happy, and therefore don’t carry a lot of biases. When it comes to your life, work, relationships, sex, hobbies, habits, etc…if it makes you happy, and doesn’t harm anything or anyone else I think you should go for it. Unless I’m asked for my opinion, I don’t believe I have a right to pass judgment on others. I’m a pretty free spirit and believe the world would be a lot better places if people would just accept one another as is, and not force their opinions, beliefs, etc… on other people.

Lastly, I still get nervous going on a first date. No idea why, just one of my quirks I guess, but it's a really fun type of nervous.

I prefer liberals typically, and open minded people.

Lastly, I just love to meet people, and that’s why I’m here. So drop me a line.
