My self-summary
Give me a little drink from your loving cup...just one drink and I'll fall down drunk!" - The Stones

It's impossible to tell my story without song as my life literally revolves around being an advocate for musicians & artists. My professional life, friends and family are all connected to music and perhaps it's that rock n roll lifestyle that's kept me single all these years.

I up and moved to the Live Music Capitol of the World from the City of Angels 5 years ago and am still giddy to be here! When I'm not out at a show (or producing one), I love to fire up the grill, pour a glass of wine and listen to the sound of the needle as it kisses the vinyl of a favorite record put on by a friend. I'm a sucker for a spontaneous road trip but crave down time with equal passion. I'm inspired and feel blessed when I walk around Town Lake OR float the Guadalupe! I love finding a new dive bar or food trailer but will never turn down a bowl of mussels from Vespaio or steak frite at Justines. I love kids and being around them...and am an "auntie" to many. One last thing you should know...
Go Steelers!

I have found it impossible to date and find a romantic partner in the "family circle" and realize that the time has come to reach out to the ol interweb for some guidance, inspiration and perhaps an introduction to someone who shares the same lust for life!

"Yes, I am nitty gritty and my shirt's all torn,
But I would love to spill the beans with you till dawn." - The Stones

Sounds cliche but I'm looking for a best friend and a lover. I'm attracted to those that have a strong sense of "self" and a fearless heart. One who is inspired, following a dream as it relates to a career, but who is grounded, thoughtful, and compassionate with himself as well as others. It would probably help if you're social and really enjoy people. Funny is good...I even dig snarky! Cocky and entitled, not so much. Appreciation for music (from classic rock & soul to Americana) and creative culture mandatory and appreciating culinary arts would probably be helpful. Lastly...I'm a big fan of making out and you should be too!
What I’m doing with my life
When I'm not doing one of the things mentioned above, apparently I'm trying to come up with a witty, yet authentic profile for OK Cupid!
I’m really good at
Not taking myself too seriously. I'm a nurturer and love making people feel warm and welcome and have a gift for creating "community" where ever I go. I'm a resourceful fix it person... and usually the "go to" girl whether someone needs personal or professional advice, directions to the club or figuring out what to wear or what to order off the menu. Be careful what you ask for though, as I'm known to be direct and have no problem telling people close to me what I really think. and after all these years ... I also have a really good B.S. detector! Life's too short to surround yourself with people people who have no self awareness or gratitude. I love to find "the perfect gift" or to create the "perfect bite" and take great pride in presentation... whether that's on a plate or when you walk into my house. I believe that the best life experiences are a joy to (and feed) all of the senses.
The first things people usually notice about me
So I'm told when folks are looking for me in a room they'll look for the person with that signature cowboy hat, with a huge smile on their face who's passing out hugs like candy. I also have a distinguishable voice, so people often hear me laughing before they see me! What I see in the mirror is my kind yet sassy green eyes, warm red hair and some funky jewelry to offset my rather voluptuous cleavage!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I spy with my little eye... this might take me a while, so I'll try to hit the highlights to paint the picture but I'd rather explore the details with someone who shares some of the same passions and curiosities that I do!

BOOKS on Music: LIFE by Keith Richards, All You Need Is Ears (Sir. George Martin), Last Train To Memphis (or anything by Peter Guralnick actually), Twenty Thousand Roads - The Ballad of Gram Parsons & His Cosmic American Music, Laurel Canyon - The Inside Story of Rock and Roll's Legendary Neighborhood, Shout Sister Shout! (bio on Sister Rosetta Tharpe), Bill Graham Presents, Chronicles (Bob Dylan), I'm With The Band (Pamela Des Barres) Soulsville, USA, Loretta Lynn's You're Cookin' It Country (cookbook) and so many more!

What else is in my spiritual toolbox? Deepak Chopra's Book of Secrets, Shakti Gawain's Living In The Light, Paulo Coelho, The Four Agreements, Arianna Huffington On Becoming Fearless, and The Tao of Willie (Willie Nelson).

Shows/Movies: I'm not a TV hater by any stretch...I won't judge you either! Since I'm out and about quite a bit I do find myself needing to turn off the world and dig into the tele from time to time. Happy to have a DVR so I can zip thru Being a foodie, I get really into competitive cooking shows Iron Chef, Top Chef, Around the World in 80 Plates, etc. I also dig Sons of Anarchy, American Horror Story, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Weeds, Gene Simmons Family Jewels and because it feeds my twisted sense of humor... Alfred.

It's Only rock n roll but I like it ...
The record collection is almost impossible to list here since music is such a large part of my life. Stations I listen to most on my Sirius XM radio include: Underground Garage, Outlaw Country, Soul Town, First Wave (need my dark wave fix), The Spectrum and Classic Vinyl. I'm clearly a fan of The Stones... so let's take it from there. Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Gram Parsons, Booker T & The MG's, Staple Singers, Al Green, James Brown, Sly & The Family Stone, Prince, Elvis,Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, The Band, Flying Burrito Brothers, The Allman Brothers, George Jones, Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, X, Lone Justice, Duran Duran, Japan, Hanoi Rocks, T Rex, The Cult, Janes Addiction, The Pretenders, Alejandro Escovedo, The Supersuckers, Hayes Carll, Jesse Dayton, North Mississippi Allstars and my sweet Lucinda Williams.

That's a good start I guess...

FOOD?! Yes please. One of the greatest pleasures in life is to share a well prepared meal with friends and lovers. Thai, Vietnamese, Indian, Sushi or Japanese, French, Mediterranean, light Italian, Mexican, Southern American, Texas or Memphis BBQ, flavorful vegan/clean, juicing. I'm a fan of it all.
The six things I could never do without
Friends and family ... as an only child my friends ARE my chosen family including my best "fur person" friend Chica. My Exile on Main Street box set, my turntable, satellite radio, spotify, my iPhone, my macbook, my car that has AC (essential here in Austin), my well seasoned cast iron skillet and my signature "daily driver" cowboy hat! Apparently I can't count... so I'll throw in a pair of comfy boots or my favorite "cosmic american platforms" and a for good measure!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to turn more people on to the music and art I love... along with how to find harmony and balance in my life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Relaxing at home watching Netflix after a long social work week. That is unless there is a "must see" show... in which case I've been known to make exceptions!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My prom date won a "Nick Rhodes look a like contest" the night before a Duran Duran show. ;)
