My name is Ross Gay ( yes middle school was rough with that one) and I was born and raised in northern Michigan. I just recently moved to Idaho for work. I enjoy hunting and fishing and other outdoor activities. I like to wear western boots and flannel. Gin and tonics are my downfall. I have the best dog in the world, his name is Flint but he's back in Michigan because of my work schedule. I went to a small university with only 3000 people. I have two brothers and we all have identical personalities. Recently I've gotten into cosmology and astronomy. I wish Carl Sagan could narrate my life.
I am fascinated by religion and really enjoy respectful discussions on the topic.

I am roughly 2000 miles from everyone I have ever known. I'm just looking to make some friends and seem marginally less creepy than other guys on this website.

Right now I am a fisheries technician for the Idaho department of fish and game. I collect field data on spawning chinook salmon and age fin rays for a variety of important projects. It's actually quite interesting and I love to talk about it.

I intend to go back to school in a few years to get my Masters in aquatic ecology and maybe PhD later as I would like to teach at university.

Cooking, I really enjoy it and my friends really seem to enjoy eating my what i make. I think that qualifies me to be able to say I'm really good at it...

I make really good bread, especially homemade bagels.

The first thing people usually notice about me is my boisterous personality and occasionally I can be quite funny.

It's hard to find a book I do not like. Typically I like science fiction and fantasy books. Life is real enough, it's nice to escape sometimes.

I like a lot of comedy shows: futurama, arrested development, community, always sunny, trailer park boys, and big bang theory.

I have similar movie interests, as long as its funny I like it. But there are a few serious movies a really enjoy like Lucky Number Slevin and Inception.

As far as music goes I really like the Texas country scene. Reckless Kelly, Casey Donahew, Jason Boland, roger creager, Cross Canadian Ragweed. I also really like Merle Haggard, Lucida Williams, and all 3 Hank Williams. But I will listen to and like almost anything, I just couldn't tell ya who it was.

I also really enjoy wasting time on the internet. Reddit and outdoors forums take up a lot of my time.
