I'm a fairy, hippie, artist, writer. I'm into bush walking, hiking
and sustainable living.
I really like being in cafes, libraries, art galleries, and botanic
I enjoy arguing, day dreaming, recycling, working hard, achieving
stuff, knowing stuff, meeting smart people and discussing stuff,
and also giggling hysterically.
I'm pretty keen to take up rowing now that I'm at Oxford. But I do
tend to get crazy short-lived passions for things, including Roller
Derby, Burlesque, activism, and um, some other stuff.
I'm struggling to reconcile my love of books with my 6 month old
kindle and the fact that I live in two countries.
What I’m doing with my life
I just moved to Oxford from Sydney to start an Mst in creative
writing. I also face paint kids and teach English to adults.
I’m really good at
I'm really good at talking, being excessively enthusiastic, and
dropping my phone. I'm also really good at dancing, often at
fabulously inappropriate times.
The first things people usually notice about me
I honestly have no idea. Probably that I move around a lot.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Virginia Woolf, Jeannette Winterson, Jane Austen, and Margaret
Tank Girl, Paris Texas, Labyrinth, Withnail and I, But I'm a
Cheerleader, and all Wes Anderson and Miyazaki.
Dr Who, Buffy, Firefly, Girls.
Home cooked food and home cooked music.
Also, live theatre, music and ballet.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Feminism, racism, homophobia, and whether equality is achievable or
The environment, the planet and how we live.
Food: how to grow it, cook it (or not cook it), and eat it.
Synchronicity, energetics, and why people feel they need religion.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Despite being an academic warrior-princess, a part of me really
wants to cuddle up on a couch somewhere with a genuinely lovely man
and be ridiculously domestic.
You should message me if
I'm dreaming of a guy who laughs out loud reading Nietzsche, gives
a good massage, is a proud feminist, exercises regularly, and
dances like crazy at festivals.
