Flexible and open-minded, loyal and faithful, spontaneous at times (maybe even impulsive), I enjoy living in the present moment. I'm quiet and reserved but appear confident and composed. I'm pretty laid back about most things, and I value my serenity.

With an appreciation for beauty in all its forms, I love music, art, books and movies. I like to spend my time outside when at all possible. Camping and float trips take up most my spring and summer. I enjoy going to the flea market and museums, book stores and antique stores. Every now and then I like to listen to live R&B on a Saturday night and I love to dance! I like riding motorcycles, but you don't have to have one for me to be interested in you. I really enjoy good conversation with good company. I like walks in the woods or in the park, or just sitting in my garden listening to the fountain in my little pond and watching my cat chase birds. I try to see the positive in all situations, and like to associate with people of like mind. I'm a very kind person, with a gentle soul but a strong spirit.

Living life to the fullest, I'm having as much fun as I can and learning as much as I have time for. I own my own house and don't need any help paying my bills. I'm content with my life, but would like to find a man with whom to share it, in a spirit of mutual honor and respect. I'd like someone who shares my interests, of course. He must be honest above all, but also open minded and intelligent. Someone who enjoys snuggling on the sofa while watching a good movie, but it really doesn't matter what we're doing as long as we feel good together.

Books: Way too many to name, but some of my favorite authors are Kurt Vonnegut, Neil Gaiman, Ray Bradbury, Robert Heinlen, Anne Rice, Richard Bach, and Tom Robbins. I think my favorite of all time is The Mists of Avalon. Second would be Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. (I have read it so many times I have parts of it memorized.) Or perhaps Jitterbug Perfume is my favorite, or Neverwhere, or Stranger in a Strange Land..there are just too many of them for me to pick one that I like more that all the others. Timeline is also pretty good, as is The Four Agreements...

Movies: Again, way too many to name, but what immediately comes to mind are The Name of the Rose, Bram Stoker's Dracula, The Lion in Winter, Se7en, Fallen, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Heavy Metal, The Fifth Element, 12 Monkeys, The Cell, The Fisher King, Fight Club...mostly fantasy and sci fi, but I also like good detective movies, like The Departed, and I love movies (and books) set in the Renaissance.

I'm not sure whether to put the Lord of the Rings and the Harry Potter series under books or films; I've read and enjoyed all of the books, and have very much enjoyed or are looking forward to the remainder of the films.

Music: I like different kinds of music, and listen to my own stations that I've programmed on Pandora.com, which consist of (to name a few) Pink Floyd, Moody Blues, Heart, CSN&Y, Led Zeppelin, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Alice in Chains, Ozzy, U2, Stone Temple Pilots, Jimmy Hendrix, The Doors, Stevie Ray Vaughn, BB King, Ozric Tentacles, Porcupine Tree, some Rob Zombie, also New Age Meditation, Kitaro, Yanni, and David & Steve Gordman. I can listen to some old Country, and do not consider Rap to be music. Classical is good for background music, as long as it's mellow.

Food: Thai and Mexican are my favorites, though I also like Italian sometimes. I've been a lacto-ovo vegetarian for over 20 years, and consider it a challenge to find restaurants that serve food I can eat, but I love to eat out! Come explore with me!

Watching a movie, out with friends playing poker or pool, camping out at the lake, reading a good book, playing with my grand babies...depends on the weather, my mood, the contents of my pocketbook.

I think body art can be beautiful, and have several tattoos.
